Weekend Stakes Horse Racing Bets – Grade II Vagrancy and Grade I Gamely

Fillies and mares will be on display in both the Grade II Vagrancy and the Grade I Gamely this Saturday. Horseplayers will be able to bet both of these races in the horse racing sportsbook.

The Grade II Vagrancy, at Belmont Park, will be contested over dirt at 6 ½ furlongs. The Grade I Vagrancy, at Hollywood Park, will be contested at 1 1/8 miles over turf.

There appears to be a ton of speed in this race. That should set things up for Hour Glass. The daughter of Petionville is 4 and 3 out of 8 lifetime races and should get the perfect pace set-up for her excellent closing kick. Malibu Prayer might be a part of the pace but more likely will sit a length or two off of a duel between Tar Heel Mom, Hold That Prospect and Saarlight. Prayer is 4-3-2 out of 9 lifetime races and is dropping out of route races adding to the notion that she will track the speed in this. Tar Heel Mom is the speed of the speed and although she faces other fast equines in this, she has the ability to take the lead and keep on going. She’s just a tough, tough horse to beat.

Grade I Gamely Stakes

It might finally be time for Forever Together to win again. The favorite in her 7 last races, Forever Together hasn’t won in 4 straight. The likely chalk does, however, get the right pace set-up in the Grade I Gamely and should be able to mow them all down at the top of the stretch. Tuscan Evening has won 4 races in a row and is 3 and 1 out of 4 races over Hollywood Park’s turf course. Medaglia D’Amour may give her company on the lead in this race. That makes Tuscan Evening vulnerable as the likely second choice in the horse betting. Medaglia D’Amour has won 3 in a row including the Grade III Wilshire in her last. She could become the new Tuscan Evening in SoCal with a victory in the Grade I Gamely. She’ll be close throughout.
