Could the Big XII South be decided on Saturday afternoon? No, because Oklahoma and Texas aren’t playing. Instead, we’re looking at Baylor and Oklahoma State and neither of these teams have recently eyed playing in the BCS National Championship game. Each comes in with just one conference loss, and the winner here will have the edge heading down the stretch.
For Baylor, they had one of the most surprising upsets of the season when they went to Austin, TX on Saturday and stunned the Texas Longhorns. Robert Griffin III continues to establish himself as maybe the most underrated quarterback in the country, as he threw for 219 yards and two touchdowns. Now with 20 on the year, those touchdowns are more than he’d thrown in his entire career coming into this year.
Oklahoma State too will throw the ball around Saturday, behind the big arm of quarterback Brandon Weeden. The former minor league baseball player leads college football’s third-ranked passing attack. The Cowboys throw for 343 yards per game.
It’s because of that passing attack that the wager to make in your college football Week 10 spreads is Oklahoma State. This offense puts up points on everyone, ranking third in the country with over 45 per game. While Baylor is miles ahead of where they’ve been in recent years, they rank just 87th in the country in pass defense. Look for a big day from Weeden.
NCAAF Week 10 Pick: Oklahoma State -7 ½

No. 15 Arizona Wildcats at No. 13 Stanford Cardinal
Saturday, November 6 at 8:00 p.m. ABC
College Football Week 10 Odds:
Arizona (7-1 SU, 5-3 ATS): +8
Stanford (7-1 SU, 4-4 ATS): -8
With everyone chasing Oregon in the Pac-10, there will be no margin for error, as the two teams tied for second place will do battle Saturday night when Arizona and Stanford collide. Who should be your NCAAF Week 10 pick?
There is no easy answer, but right now savvy bettors might take Arizona and the points. That’s because, for all the talk about their offense, and who will play quarterback Saturday (starter Nick Foles has been out the past two games with injury), the real story is their defense.
Right now, the Wildcats are allowing just 14 points per game. More importantly, they’ve got the No. 6 rushing defense in college football, allowing just 88 yards per game. That will be key against this Stanford offense.
Because, when it comes to Stanford, they’re one of the nation’s best between the tackles, averaging 238 yards per game on the ground. The Cardinal are also college football’s No. 5 scoring offense averaging 42 points per game.
So which will give first: Arizona’s run defense or Stanford’s run offense? Stick with the Wildcats.
At home, expect Stanford to win this game, but also expect the Wildcats defense to do enough to cover the betting odds. There’s no way Stanford will get anywhere near those 42 points a game they’re averaging.
Stanford will win, Arizona will cover.
NCAAF Week 10 Pick: Arizona +8

No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide at No. 10 LSU Tigers
Saturday, November 6 at 8:00 p.m. CBS
NCAAF Week 10 Odds:
Alabama (7-1 SU, 5-3 ATS): -7
LSU (7-1 SU, 3-5 ATS): +7
The final college football betting game of the Week 10 NCAAF Picks takes us to Baton Rouge, LA, where one team will be eliminated from the SEC title race. Will it be Alabama or LSU?
LSU will need help (a loss by Auburn), but could still end up in the SEC title game in Atlanta. This is a team which is only as good as its defense, which is one of the best in the country. They’re allowing just 277 yards and 15 points per game, both of which ranks LSU in the top 10 nationally.
As for Alabama, the Crimson Tide still control their own destiny in the SEC West race; if they win out, it’ll be they who are playing in Atlanta. Alabama needs continued strong play from quarterback Greg McElroy (263 yards against Tennessee two weeks ago) and the two-headed monster of Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson in the running game. The two combined for over 200 yards rushing in the Crimson Tide’s most recent win.
The difference in this game will be LSU’s offense vs. Alabama’s defense, and the edge has to go to the Tide. LSU can’t get anything going on that side of the ball, and are just 101st nationally in total offense. Alabama on the other hand, has the No. 2 scoring defense in college football. They’re allowing just 12.5 points per game.
Expect the Tide to win a low-scoring game on the road, and do just enough to cover the betting odds. Alabama should be your final NCAAF Week 10 Pick.
NCAA Football Week 10 Pick: Alabama -7
