Wagering Lines on College Football Make Oregon Easy Pick

September 25, 2010

The wagering lines on college football betting for the #6 Oregon vs. ASU game make the Ducks an easy pick to romp all over Sun Devil Stadium with their hands in the air high-fiving each other, scoring touchdowns on Saturday, Sept. 25th.

Oregon is the best team in college football in my opinion. If they play their game on Saturday, ASU has little chance of beating them. Okay, ASU has no chance of beating them, but can the Sun Devils cover an 11 ½ point wagering spread as the home dogs?

No, they can’t. Keep reading to discover the glory that is the Oregon Ducks!

NCAAF Betting Lines

Oregon Ducks -11 ½ -110

ASU Sun Devils +11 ½ -110

Based on the lines on college football trends, Oregon should make ASU look silly this Saturday.

  • The Oregon Ducks are 9 and 2 ATS in their last 11 games following an ATS victory.
  • The Oregon Ducks are 5 and 0 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
  • The Oregon Ducks are 8 and 3 ATS in their last 11 conference games.
  • The ASU Sun Devils are 2 and 5 ATS in their last 7 games at home versus a team with a winning record on the road.

If those trends weren’t enough, the stats clearly favor Oregon as well. The Ducks are far superior to ASU. There’s just no other way to look at it.

ASU did play a spirited game versus Wisconsin last week when losing 19 to 20 as 11 ½ point favorites, but Wisconsin doesn’t come close to being as good of a team as Oregon. The Ducks are simply the best team in college football.

The stats regarding Oregon are simply mind-boggling. The Ducks average 63 points per game, tops in college football. They allow 4.3 points per game, again, tops in college football. They played the Tennessee Volunteers on the road, in one of the most hostile environments in college football, and rocked the Vols 48 to 13.

The Ducks average 611.7 points per game. That’s what they average. Oregon Ducks is going to absolutely dominate the ASU Sun Devils on Saturday. ASU isn’t a bad team, they are 2 and 1 after beating Portland State and Northern Arizona and losing to the Badgers, but they don’t have the defense to slow down Oregon.

ASU gave up 20 points to Northern Arizona. Also, the Sun Devils’ offense, as good as it looked in its first two games, was pathetic against a Wisconsin team that allowed UNLV to score 21 and San Jose State to score 14.

This is no-brainer to me. The lines on college football should have Oregon favored by around 24 ½ points in this game, not 11 ½.

Oregon will rock and roll on Saturday. This game should be over by halftime. The lines on college football for the Oregon vs. ASU game make it one of the easier ones to call in my mind.
