Vanderbilt at Georgia – College Football Odds
October 15, 2010
SEC teams in desperate need of a win will hook up on Saturday in a college football betting odds matchup between a team trying to compete for the first time in awhile and an old power as Vanderbilt takes on Georgia on the road.
Vanderbilt needs this one for the sake of the program’s confidence but it won’t be easy on the road between the hedges in Athens this weekend.

Vanderbilt Commodores at Georgia Bulldogs
12:20 pm ET Saturday
College Football Odds: Georgia favored at -14
The Bulldogs are trying to claw back into the bowl picture after a bad start to the year but they still have the talent to beat anyone in the league now that receiver AJ Green is back.
The turnover battle in this one shouldn’t be a factor, at least not on paper as both teams have four fumbles lost and three interceptions thrown on the year.
Both teams also come in sky-high in the confidence department as they both had huge offensive days in their last games.
The big difference is that Georgia did it against Tennessee while Vandy did it against Eastern Michigan.
The step up in competition will be very difficult for the Commodores on the road in this one.
In order to win the game, Vanderbilt will have to shorten it, but they rank last in the SEC in third down conversion rate and Georgia’s offense is just now getting into a groove with Green back in the ranks to give QB Aaron Murray someone to rely on when the going gets tough or the Bulldogs need to move the chains.
Vanderbilt is improving but it won’t be enough against a hungry Georgia team that is finally beginning to peak, even though it may be too late to save Mark Richt’s job in the end.
College Football Odds Pick: Georgia (-14).
