Tuesday Night NBA Betting Two Pack

December 15, 2010

A smaller slate of pro basketball action is available Tuesday night on the hardwood, but just because there’s a limited amount of options to choose from, it doesn’t mean we can’t cash in.

Here’s tonight’s NBA Betting 2-Pack of winners!

Toronto Raptors @ Charlotte Bobcats

Game Date/Time: Tuesday, December 14th, 7:00 ET

Game Location: Time Warner Cable Arena, Charlotte, NC

TV/Radio Broadcast: TSN, SportSouth, XM

NBA Odds

Toronto Raptors (+5) -110

Charlotte Bobcats (-5) -110

Over/Under 203.5

We were all over the Bobcats as short home pups last Tuesday night against the Denver Nuggets who were in a terrible scheduling spot. That’s not the case tonight as both the Raptors and Bobcats enter tonight’s Eastern Conference NBA betting battle off two days rest while playing at entirely different ends of the spectrum. Besides being just 1-2 ATS while Toronto is 3-1 ATS playing on two days rest, Charlotte has been playing some awfully poor basketball of late while the Raptors have seemingly been in every one of their L/3 games.

Charlotte currently sits a game under .500 at home on the year, while the Raptors sport a 7-4-1 ATS tally away from the Air Canada Centre. With them being gifted 2+ possessions in this spot, I have no qualms backing the hotter overall NBA betting outfit in a series that’s seen the road team capture eight of the L/10 against the closing pointspread. The fact that they’re 8-2-1 ATS in the dog role and 7-3 ATS their L/10 trips to Charlotte is gravy!

Slam the Raptors!

Atlanta Hawks At Detroit Pistons

Game Date/Time: Tuesday, December 14th, 7:00 ET

Game Location: The Palace of Auburn Hills, Auburn Hills, MI

TV/Radio Broadcast: SportSouth, FOX-Detroit, XM

NBA Odds

Atlanta Hawks (-4.5) -110

Detroit Pistons (+4.5) -110

Over/Under 186.5

The Atlanta Hawks look to be getting it back together again even though they’ve played their last seven games without the production of All Star guard Joe Johnson who will more than likely continue to be sidelined until the middle of January after having surgery on his shooting elbow. Still, head coach Larry Drew’s squad looks to be forming a cohesion with one another for the first time under his watch. Save for a 108-92 road loss at the hands of the best team in the league, the San Antonio Spurs, the Hawks have rattled off victories in eight of their L/10 NBA betting battles (6-4 ATS). Most impressive was the way they bounced back with a 97-83 home win and cover over what had been a resurgent Indiana Pacers a day after falling in the AT&T Center.

As it is, Atlanta stands 8-4 SU & ATS away from Phillips Arena this season, and there’s not many better spots in the league to snag a road victory than in Detroit as the Pistons have won just five of their 11 home games to date while splitting against the NBA betting odds the eight times they were dogged. Atlanta holds a major advantage on the glass, and with the Pistons shooting a pathetic 44.3 percent from the field (#24), there’s sure to be a number of loose balls for them to scoop up. Look for the Hawks to make good on the extra possessions and snag a win and cover for the fourth time in their last five tries.

Slam the Hawks!
