Nebraska (5-0 SU, 2-2-1 ATS): -10
This is the game everyone in Nebraska has been waiting 10 months for, after the Cornhuskers lost last year’s Big XII Championship Game to Texas on a last second field goal.
In 2010, though, the football betting tables have turned as Nebraska enters this matchup as the heavy favorites, behind the big play capability of quarterback Taylor Martinez. The freshman quarterback has been outstanding this year, and has been a big reason Nebraska ranks fourth nationally in rushing yards. He alone has rushed for 737 yards and 12 touchdown scores.
However, when it comes to the NCAAF Week 7 betting odds, the play here is Texas. No, this is not a traditionally strong Texas team, but with a week off to relax and recover, they’ll come out with a renewed sense of focus in this one. The Longhorns defense isn’t as bad as the statistics might indicate as there are still plenty of future NFL stars on this roster.
In this game, take Nebraska to win straight up, but Texas to cover the betting odds.
NCAAF Betting Pick: Texas +10

No. 12 Arkansas Razorbacks at No. 7 Auburn Tigers
Saturday, October 16: 3:30 p.m. CBS
NCAAF Betting Odds for Week 7:
Arkansas (4-1 SU, 3-2 ATS): +3 ½
Auburn (6-0 SU, 3-3 ATS): -3 ½
In this weekend’s college football matchup’s, the only game between two Top 25 teams takes us down to the SEC, where Arkansas visits Auburn. Who’s your pick?
Regardless, this will be a thrilling matchup between two offenses that put up their points two completely different ways. For Arkansas, they get things done through the air, as Ryan Mallett and this passing attack rank third in the nation, putting up 354 yards per game. Mallet himself has thrown for a staggering 1,378 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Of course Auburn does things completely differently, with the nation’s eighth ranked rushing attack. The Tigers better runner is actually their quarterback, Cam Newton, a savior for this team who transferred from Blinn Junior College in the offseason. He leads this team in both passing (1,138 yards) and rushing as well (608 yards), combining for 21 touchdowns.
And it’s because of Newton that Auburn should be your NCAA football Week 7 betting odds pick. While this one will be high-scoring, only the Tigers will be able to control the clock with their rushing attack. Expect Newton to keep the ball on the ground, and keep the chains moving, in the process keeping Mallett and Arkansas off the field.
Auburn needs to be your pick here.
NCAAF Betting Pick: Auburn -3 ½

Mississippi Rebels at No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide
Saturday, October 16: 9:00 p.m. ESPN2
College Football Week 7 Betting Odds:
Mississippi (3-2 SU, 2-3 ATS): +20 ½
Alabama (5-1 SU, 4-2 ATS): -20 ½
It’s been a long time since Alabama came into a game off a loss, but that’s exactly what’s going to happen this weekend in Tuscaloosa, as the former No. 1 ranked team in the country fell last weekend at South Carolina.
With the loss, the pressure is off Alabama as the top team in the country, but they can’t afford to lose another game if their BCS National Championship dreams are going to stay strong. Things won’t be easy this week though, as they’ve got several key injuries, and will likely be without star wide receiver Julio Jones. He broke his hand in the loss last Saturday.
Ole Miss, on the other hand, is coming off a bye week, and is in the midst of a two-game winning streak, beating Fresno State and Kentucky at home in back-to-back weeks. Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli seems to have asserted himself with this squad, as he has thrown five touchdown passes, and is second on the team in rushing. Big back Brandon Bolden enters this one having rushed for 336 in his last two games.
While Ole Miss has little to no chance of winning this game, the running game, and Masoli’s poise should do enough to keep them close. Take the Rebels in the Week 7 NCAAF betting odds.
We’re not saying they’ll win outright, because they won’t. But after last week’s loss Alabama is still licking their wounds, and will need another game or two to get their confidence back.
Make the Rebels your final NCAAF Week 7 Pick of the week!
NCAAF Betting Pick: Ole Miss +20 ½
