Top Road Teams on this MLB Betting List Among the Best in Baseball

2: Houston Astros (31-40, +$1,233) – Are the Astros really the second best road team in baseball? Statistically speaking, being nine games under .500 isn’t going to do it for most teams, but in this case, the ‘Stros are striking while the iron is very, very hot. All of a sudden, Houston might challenge the .500 record this year, and an improving road record is critical for that effort.

3: Tampa Bay Rays (43-30, +$877) – Tampa Bay has guaranteed itself an above .500 record on the road, and with it has come the guarantee of a playoff berth. The Rays still have some tough road series left to play, but they should be up to the task to make sure they don’t blow this huge lead. There are still two questions out there. The first is whether the AL East can be won. The second is whether the Minnesota Twins can be held off for the best record in baseball.

1: Baltimore Orioles (3-2, +$454) – For the second straight time that we’ve looked at the best road teams in baseball, the Orioles are appearing on this list. Hey oddsmakers, stop making these guys 3-1 road dogs seemingly every time out on the field! Buck Showalter might actually be able to get the money mark back to break even this year, which is a miracle considering the fact that the O’s were around 35 units in the hole at one point.

2: Houston Astros (4-1, +$334) – And once again, it is Houston that joins Baltimore atop this list of who’s hot on the road! In fairness here, taking four of its L/5 against the Cubs and D’Backs isn’t the most impressive road stretch in the world, but wins are wins, and when you’re a team struggling just to make headway in a tough division, you take those ‘W’s wherever you can get them.

3: Philadelphia Phillies (4-1, +$304) – Thanks to a solid recent road trip, the Phillies have overtaken the Atlanta Braves and are in the playoffs once again if they were to start today. The boys from the City of Brotherly Love have been hot and cold all season long away from home and must regulate that to stick in the race, though.
