To Win
Best Bet A: Dustin Johnson +400
DJ’s dominance at Pebble Beach has been well recorded. But why not go over it again so that golf sports betting handicappers can really understand how awesome the +400 odds on DJ actually are? Johnson has won the last two Pebble Beach National Pro Am Tournaments.
He was actually on his way to a U.S. Open victory at Pebble Beach in 2010 before blowing it in Round 4. DJ owns Pebble Beach the way that Tiger used to own Torrey Pines. He’s an easy bet at +400.
Best Bet B: Nick Watney +900
Watney is already averaging 302.4 yards per drive this season. That ranks him 11th in driving distance on the PGA Tour. He’s ranked 1st in scoring average with a 68.94 per round and he’s ranked 3rd on the PGA Tour in the par 4 birdies or better category.
He’s simply playing better than most of his competition. His game should be even better at Pebble Beach this week where there are a lot of par 4’s and 5’s for him to destroy.
Worst Golf Bet: Phil Mickelson +450
The golf online odds on Lefty to win this category blow. That’s the only way to describe it. Phil couldn’t bring home the Farmer’s Insurance trophy at Torrey Pines a couple of weeks ago and the dude loves Torrey Pines. What’s he going to do this week? My guess is nothing.
Best Underdog Bet: Sean O’Hair +3000
O’Hair finished tied for 35th at the 2010 Pebble Beach National Pro Am, but he did shoot a 69 Round 3 in the tournament. What it means, is that there are some positives regarding O’Hair’s chances this week.
O’Hair did miss the cut at the Phoenix Open when he shot a 71 Round 1 and a 71 Round 2, but he has every right to bounce back this week. No golf handicapper in the world can argue against the odds Sean’s offering to be the best in this category.
Others To Consider
Brandt Snedeker +1500 – - After missing the cut at the Bob Hope, “Opie” Snedeker finished 9th at the Farmer’s Insurance and 8th at the Phoenix Open. The +1500 golf odds are nice.
JB Holmes +1500 – - The tied 5th at the Phoenix Open means he’s playing well enough to possibly upset the favorites in this betting category. He also finished tied for 2nd at the 2010 Pebble Beach National Pro Am.
Brian Gay +1800 – - He finished 16th at this tournament last year and has finished 13th, 8th and 15th in his three tournaments so far played this year.
