Toledo at Western Michigan – College Football Odds Betting Pick

September 18, 2010

Two of the better programs in the MAC will meet on the west of the state of Michigan on Saturday night under lights in a college football odds matchup between two solid spread offenses. This could be a high-scoring affair and it’s a college football game that passing game purists will enjoy watching on Saturday.

The Broncos blew out Nicholls State in week two by a score of 49-14. Of course, such a win was expected by the Broncos, who had a rough year in 2009 despite high expectations going into the season.

The Broncos were embarrassed by Michigan in the first game, a match many people though they had a shot at winning. This year they also got beaten soundly in week one, this time against Michigan State. But they bounced back to cover the difficult 28-point spread against the Rockets in week two, showing their resiliency.

Toledo meanwhile also scored a week two win over the Ohio Bobcats out of the MAC in a game they were favored in. The Bobcats have cemented themselves as one of the top MAC programs so that win was an eye-opener for many and it could be a sign of things to come as the Rockets are the underdog yet again on the road.

This will be a typical high-scoring college football game and a MAC thriller the likes of which we’ve seen a lot of in recent years, and the Rockets will bring their A game to Waldo Stadium.

Western Michigan is still a very young team that hasn’t seen a ton of adversity or learned how to play as the favorite, so Toledo is the best bet in this game considering they’ve also got the points on their side.

College Football Odds Pick: Toledo Rockets (+3).
