Steady Demand should go off the chalk and he should be very tough to beat in this as he figures to be either lone speed or to track Mensa Heat and then take over at the top of the stretch. Front runners have been doing well at Del Mar so far and Steady Demand is easily the best front runner of this bunch. Trainer Jeff Mullins has scores with 29% of his first after the claim horses.

Mensa Heat – - 7/2 fair online betting odds

This guy goes turf to Polytrack, drops to a level where he should be competitive, and no doubt will show more speed if his last is any indication. He also has a victory on the Polytrack at Del Mar and will be coming into this off of a fantastic work on July 19th. He could pose a serious threat to wire this field if he gets off to a good start.

De Car Guy – - 4/1 fair online betting odds

He figures to be right behind the speed, or two lengths off of it, and has a good shot to win as well if the Polytrack is playing towards pressers and closers on Thursday. De Car Guy has a third on Del Mar’s Polytrack and two victories and two thirds out of eight starts on all weather surfaces. He’s another player in this.

I’m going to bet Steady Demand to win. I will play an exacta with Steady Demand over Mensa Heat and De Car Guy. I will reverse for less. I will play a trifecta box with Steady Demand, Mensa Heat and De Car Guy.
