TNT Will Have Plenty of Drama as Bulls Host Heat in Telling Bet NBA Thursday Night Thriller

February 25, 2011

TNT bills themselves as the station that ‘knows drama’ and they’ll sure have plenty of it tonight when the Chicago Bulls host LeBron James and the Miami Heat in what looks like the most intriguing Bet NBA post, all-star game matchup to take place so far this season.

Miami at Chicago 8:00 PM ET

NBA Odds

Miami Heat -2.5 Points

Over/Under 192

Analysis: Miami has won three consecutive games including their emphatic 117-97 blowout of Sacramento on Tuesday to cash in against the Bet NBA Odds as a 13-point home favorite, though D-Wade and company have alternated ATS wins and losses over their last seven games.

Chicago must have been looking ahead to tonight’s matchup because they clearly weren’t ready to face the Sacramento Kings in its surprising 118-113 loss to the Raptors on Wednesday night. Chicago had its four-game SU and ATS winning streak snapped by failing to cover the Bet NBA spread as a 8.5-point road favorite.

The Bulls managed to beat Miami 99-96 on Jan. 15 and play out as a Push against the Bet NBA spread as a 3-point home favorite, but LeBron James missed that game for Miami as did starting Bulls’ center Joakim Noah. Chris Bosh also departed the game early that night with a sprained left ankle that caused him to miss Miami’s next four games.

Noah returned to the Bulls’ lineup on Wednesday after missing 30 games with a torn ligament in his right thumb to grab 16 rebounds in the loss to Toronto last night.

Prediction: While the Miami Heat have looked like anything but title contenders in its seven games against ‘elite’ ballclubs this season, going 1-6 SU against Boston, Chicago, San Antonio, Dallas and the Lakers, I am going to advise BetOnline Bet NBA gamblers to back the Miami Heat to cash in against the Bet NBA Lines by recording the convincing outright road win.

I know Chicago is 8-2 against the Bet NBA spread over its L/10 games as an underdog and an impressive 15-5-1 ATS over its L/21 home games, but Miami has gone 8-3 against the Bet NBA spread over its last 11 games and 5-1 ATS in their last half-dozen road games against teams with winning SU home records.

The Bulls may have won three of their last four home matchups against Miami, but my bet NBA pick says the buck stops here for the Bulls!

NBA Pick: Miami Heat -2.5 Points
