April 23, 2010

With the 2010 Major League Baseball season moving further into its third week, avid MLB betting fanatics that are looking to boost the annual MLB betting bankroll will enjoy this look at baseball’s best – and worst – home money ballclubs.

With over two dozen games having been played by most teams so far, several teams are beginning to show a potential pattern of the payday-producing power they could display all season long.

Whether you’re planning on riding the best home teams or wagering against the worst home money ballclubs – this look at the top five in each category is sure to help MLB gamblers in their quest to put more bucks in the pro baseball betting bankroll.

Best Bets
Seattle (+532)
The Mariners just ended a nine-game home stand on Wednesday night, recording a fine 7-2 mark along the way. MLB bettors should keep in mind however, that the M’s played three straight series against mediocre (or atrocious in the case of Baltimore) ballclubs.

San Diego (+526)
The Padres just finished off a nine-game home stand by going 7-2 and winning six straight games heading into tonight’s matchup against Cincinnati.

Minnesota (+338)
Heading into tonight’s home contest against Cleveland, the Mariners have won six of eight over the BoSox, Royals and Indians, three ballclubs that have had their share of problems in the early going.

NY Yankees (+305)
The Yankees swept the Rangers in a three-game set and took two of three against the Angels to record a stellar 5-1 home mark and put just over $300 in bettors’ pockets.

Pittsburgh (+301)
The Pirates have gone just 5-3 at home, but they’ve put +301 in MLB betting backers’ pockets because of the great underdog home odds they’ve covered.

Cleveland (+253)
After the first two games of a six-game home stand spanning two, three-game series, the Indians bounced back by winning four straight – three times as an underdog – before losing each of their last two on the road.

Not So Hot
Baltimore (-709)
As part of their absolutely abysmal 2-14 start, the Orioles have compiled pitiful a 0-6 home mark, costing MLB bettors a whopping -709.

Boston (-566)
The BoSox have some problems despite making several offseason additions in an effort to beat the Yankees in the AL East this season. Boston has gone a dismal 3-6 in nine home games and hasn’t really shown me much that makes me believe they are going to change any time soon.

LA Angels (-448)
See what happens when you let your staff ace (John Lackey) and biggest bat (Vladimir Guerrero) foolishly leave town! The Angels haven’t been pitiful, but their 4-6 home record after 10 games doesn’t look very good.

Houston (-389)
The Astros have gone just 2-6 at home this season, but at least they’ve won four straight, including two at home, heading into tonight’s home contest against Florida.

ChiSox (-296)
Chicago has been bad at home (3-5) and on the road (2-5), costing MLB bettors no matter where they play right now. After beating Tampa Bay at home on Tuesday, the White Sox were walloped 12-0 at home on Wednesday night.

Philadelphia (-233)
The Phillies have recorded a fine 6-2 mark on the road and are the best team in the NL, but MLB bettors should know Philadelphia has gone just 3-3 at home to cost MLB betting enthusiasts in a big way.
