The Tennessee Volunteers are the top college football betting ‘over’ team in the country

November 4, 2010

Here at BetOnline Sportsbook, we’ve always got our eyes on any NCAA football trends that we can use to help make you money. Tennessee is our top college football betting team for ‘overs’ so far this year.

1: Tennessee Volunteers (7-1) (LW: 5) – The Volunteers just keep finding ways to score points, but it never seems to be enough. The oddsmakers haven’t really caught on to the fact that these guys are the best football betting team in the land for ‘overs’.

2: Oregon State Beavers (6-1) (LW: 1) – Oregon State’s defense showed up in a big way and guaranteed that the ‘over’ streak would be no more. The Beavs can still win the Pac-10 by winning out.

3: Kentucky Wildcats (7-2) (LW: 2) - The Wildcats have lost five out of six in the SEC, and the offense proved to be the unit letting them down this past weekend against the Bulldogs. That’s why the longest ‘over’ streak in the land was snuffed on Saturday.

4: Virginia Tech Hokies (6-2) (LW: 8) – Idle V-Tech enjoyed its week off, and the end result from last week’s chaos is that it can afford a slip up in the ACC and still make the conference title game. Don’t expect to see the Hokies’ offense slip one bit vs. the Ramblin’ Wreck though!

5: USC Trojans (6-2) (LW: NR) – The Trojans had enough offense to beat the best team in the country on Saturday, but just like we’ve been finding out all season long, Matt Barkley can’t be the only man in LA trying to lead USC to victories.

6: Army Black Knights (6-2) (LW: 3) – It was rather predictable to see the Black Knights only put 29 on the board against VMI in a game that wasn’t all that important as long as it was won.

7: Oklahoma State Cowboys (6-2) (LW: 4) – The Pokes can’t be punished all that much for losing the ‘over’ run without Justin Blackmon in the lineup. The defense won’t hold anyone else under 20 for the rest of the year in all likelihood.

8: Western Michigan Broncos (6-2) (LW: 6) – The Broncos are going to be playing on primetime football this week and will hope for more offense to try to get the ‘over’ streak going again in Kalamazoo.

9: Ball State Cardinals (6-2-1) (LW: NR) – It’s amazing that Ball State has figured out how to post six ‘over’ contests this year with an offense that is just barely scoring 20 points per game.

10: Ohio State Buckeyes (6-2) (LW: NR) – The Buckeyes are creating ‘overs’ all by themselves this year, as they certainly aren’t allowing that many points on the other side of the ball. Take away a plethora of poor special teams plays though, and OSU would be nowhere near this college football betting poll.

No one does NCAA football ‘totals’ like BetOnline Sportsbook.
