BetOnline NBA Odds: CLEVELAND -11, Total 193.5

Here are some of the NBA sports betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* CLEV has won ten of its last 12 games SU

* CLEV has covered four of its last six games

* CLEV has won five of its last seven road games SU

* CLEV has played four of its last six road games OVER the total

* LA has lost its last five games SU

* LA has covered one of its last five games

* LA has lost its last four home games SU

* LA has covered three of its last ten home games

Also….

* CLEV has won and covered the last five meetings

* CLEV has had the shooting edge in each of the last five meetings

* CLEV has had the rebounding edge in each of the last five meetings

* CLEV has made more three-pointers in five of the last six meetings

The Cavs have really come around defensively, allowing only 90.5 points per game, which is the best figure in the NBA. Tuesday night’s opponent would seem made to order for them, as the Clippers are 29th in the league in scoring on their home floor, with a 93.8 ppg average, and have the worst shooting percentage in the league. The Cavs have won and covered the last five times these two have met, and L.A. has not topped 100 points against Cleveland since 2005.

Once again the training room is filled for the Clippers; both Marcus Camby and Baron Davis sat out the last game against the Indiana Pacers, and even though the team played well by its standards, losing at the Staples Center by only a point, the news about Camby is kind of mysterious and scary. The center complained of a migraine headache, and has also lost his equilibrium. An MRI revealed "fluid in his head," which appears to be the result of previous ear infections. Mike Dunleavy offered this piece of insight: "It’s kind of hard to play basketball without your equilibrium."

If there is good news for the Clippers, it’s that Davis is expected to play in this game, and that Chris Kaman may be given the okay to play here as well, as the results of an MRI on his foot were satisfactory. He’ll be rusty, of course, and will have limited paying time.

On January 30 these teams met at the Quicken Loans Arena, and the Cavaliers made 14 shots from three-point range en route to a 112-95 win, covering the number as a 15-point favorite. We appreciate that Clippers fans are excited about the possibilities with Kaman ready to get back into the rotation, we still don’t think it’s conducive to a healthy atmosphere when an owner like Donald Sterling is ranting, raving and threatening to trade the whole team (although we can’t blame him all that much, and suggest that firing Mike Dunleavy may be less painful). With Cleveland sufficiently rested and chasing the best record in the East, we’ll lay the points with the Cavaliers, the 11-point favorite in the BetOnline Sportsbook NBA pro basketball betting odds.
