March 10, 2011

With the 2011 SEC Tournament getting underway on the court live from the Georgia Dome today – and in the BetOnline basketball sportsbook – BetOnline college basketball betting enthusiasts can use all of the expert handicapping advice they can get!

No worries college basketball betting mates, I’ve ordered up a healthy serving of original BetOnline March Mayhem college basketball betting tips that will help collegiate roundball bettors everywhere maximize their chances of cashing in on every first round SEC Tournament matchup that will take place tonight.

Okay hardwood gamblers, let me get started.

Auburn at Georgia 1:00 PM ET
The Auburn Tigers won both of their final two regular season games and have cashed in against the college basketball odds in four consecutive games coming into the tournament.

Georgia spilt their last four regular season games evenly, but lost to Alabama 65-57 the last time out. The Bulldogs did manage to beat the Tigers 81-72 in overtime on March 5, as a 16-point home favorite.

Auburn has gone 0-3-1 ATS in their last four neutral site games, but Georgia has been even worse when they play at a neutral site as they’ve gone 0-4 ATS in their last quartet of neutral site games.

The Tigers are 9-3-1 ATS in their last dozen games against a team with a winning SU record while the Underdog in this rivalry has gone 9-4 against the college hoops betting line in the last 13 meetings overall.

South Carolina at Mississippi 3:30 PM ET
Ole Miss is a solid favorite here, but BetOnline March Mayhem college basketball bettors should know that the Rebels lost to South Carolina 79-73 as a 2-point road favorite on Feb. 22 while the Underdog in this series has gone 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings overall. The bad news for Gamecocks betting backers is the fact that South Carolina is just 3-7 against the college hoops betting line in its L/10 games against the Rebels.

Arkansas at Tennessee 7:30 PM ET
Tennessee may have the bigger nationally recognized hoops program in this matchup, but the Arkansas Razorbacks handed the Volunteers a68-65 loss on Jan. 8 to cash in against the college basketball betting line as a 1-point home underdog.

The Razorbacks have lost two straight, but Tennessee has maddeningly alternated SU wins and losses over its last eight games. Both ballclubs bring their respective three-game ATS losing streaks into tonight’s contest.

March Mayhem college basketball betting enthusiasts should know that Arkansas has gone 4-0 against the spread in their L/4 meetings against Tennessee.

Louisiana State at No. 24 Vanderbilt 10:00 PM ET
Vanderbilt isn’t looking very formidable right now, having lost two straight and three of its last four games overall. Luckily, they’ll face a LSU ballclub that has lost three straight while failing to cover the college basketball betting line each time out.

The Tigers have also gone 4-10 ATS in their last 14 neutral site games while Vanderbilt has gone 5-2 ATS in their last seven games and 15-7 ATS in their last 22 neutral site games.
