Take the Tigers to Tame the Bears Against College Hoops Online Sports Betting Odds

February 24, 2011

I don’t know how else to say it, but the 20th-ranked Missouri Tigers (21-6 SU, 11-11 ATS) almost have to record a convincing win while cashing in against the college hoops betting odds in their Big 12 matchup against the Baylor Bears (17-9 SU, 6-12 ATS) tonight if they don’t want to see their March Madness NCAA Championship Tournament seeding take a real hit next month.

Anything less than a solid victory could cause the Tournament Selection committee to drop the Tigers down to a bottom-eight seed in of one of the regions, which is a situation Mike Anderson and his sometimes inconsistent ballclub would like to avoid.

Key Basketball Trends

  • Bears are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
  • Bears are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 vs. Big 12.
  • Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
  • Tigers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite.

Baylor has lost two of their last three games including their 78-69 loss to Texas Tech on Saturday while failing to cash in against the college hoops online sports betting odds as a 12.5-point home favorite to fall to 1-2 ATS in its last three games.

Missouri got past a tough Iowa State ballclub in its 76-70 win on Saturday to cash in against the BetOnline college hoops online sports betting odds as a 4.5-point road favorite, though they’ve alternated ATS wins and losses over their last half-dozen games.

Prediction: The Baylor bears have gone 2-5 against the online sports betting odds in their last seven games as a road underdog while the Missouri Tigers have recorded a stellar 8-3 ATS record in its last 10 home games.

Baylor did manage to beat Missouri 64-62 the last time the teams met, nearly one year ago on Feb. 13 but failed to cover the online sports betting odds as a 4-point home favorite that day.

Missouri won each of the previous two contests very handily by racking up one, 13-point win and one 17-point victory.

Missouri got its first conference road win against Iowa State the last time out and have five double-digit scorers on the roster, not to mention three more players that average nearly seven points per contest.

The Tigers are ranked fifth in the nation in scoring (83.5 ppg) and are my college hoops online sports betting pick to cash in against the BetOnline basketball sportsbook spread tonight.

NCAAB Pick: Missouri -8.5 Points
