Question: What could possibly be interesting about a game featuring two teams that are a combined 26 games below .500? Not much, unless one of those teams just traded for one of the top point guards in the league. Luckily that’s what we have here as the Nets and Deron Williams take on the Rockets in Saturday’s NBA Betting.

By now you know the story here, as after spending his entire career in Utah, Williams was traded to New Jersey Wednesday, and will be playing his second game in a Nets uniform Saturday. So what does Williams bring to the table? How about 21 points, nine assists and over a steal and a three-pointer per game? Not too shabby huh?

And we’ve got to be honest, going against a porous Rockets club, we expect a big game from Williams. As good as the Rockets are at putting the ball in the basket (third in the league in scoring), they’re equally incompetent at stopping the other team from doing the same.

The Rockets allow opponents to shoot 47 percent from the field, and score 105 points per game, both stats which rank them in the lower third of the league.

It’ll take time for Williams to get to know his new teammates, but playing against a lousy Rockets defense will certainly allow him to work his way. Make the Nets your NBA Betting pick here!

NBA Betting Pick: New Jersey

Chicago Bulls (39-17 SU, 33-21-2 ATS) at Milwaukee Bucks (22-35 SU, 26-29-2 ATS)

Saturday, February 26: 8:30 p.m., Live from Bradley Center, Milwaukee, WI

Next up, let’s stay in the Midwest, where one of the league’s hottest teams hits Milwaukee. Does anyone have a bigger win in recent weeks than the Bulls just got Thursday night?

It’s debatable, as Chicago did what few teams can say recently, and beat the Miami Heat 93-89 in the United Center two days ago. As usual, the star of the show was point guard Derrick Rose, who led the club with 26 points, six assists and five steals, with Luol Deng adding 20 points and 10 boards. It was just the Heat’s second loss in their last 10 games.

And truth be told, we expect Chicago to keep the good times rolling in Saturday’s NBA Betting picks. This is a club that has now won five of six (5-1 against the spread in that stretch as well), and is playing a Bucks team that is a mere 3-7 straight up in their last 10. The Bulls can be prone to letdowns, but we just can’t see it happening here.

In the end, is there one good reason not to take Chicago on Saturday? None that we can think of. Make them your NBA Betting pick!
