Sunday Baseball – Bet on the Brewers vs Cubs Game
April 25, 2010
Early on in the MLB season, the bats are usually cold to match the weather and the pitchers are hot.
But for the Chicago Cubs, neither side of things has gone well so far in the season.
The Cubs will enter Sunday’s game at Milwaukee as the 9th-ranked team in major offensive and defensive categories of batting average and ERA, making them a likely MLB betting underdog going into Sunday’s game according to the baseball betting odds.
The Milwaukee Brewers are not the big-name franchise as the Cubs are, but they have seen a bit more success on the field thus far as they are near the top of the NL Central division.
Of course, the MLB betting favorite Brewers are only 8-7 on the year but most would agree that they have more potential than the Cubs and are more likely to take home a win on Sunday.
Chicago Cubs (Randy Wells, R) at Milwaukee Brewers (Dave Bush, R)
2:10 pm ET, Miller Park, Sunday, April 25, 2010
The Cubs and Brewers both have solid pitchers going on Sunday, with Dave Bush and Randy Wells ranking among the pleasant early season surprises among pitchers in the National League.
Bush and Wells both have ERA’s in the 2′s and both have low WHIP’s and 1-0 records so far.
Both guys are also capable of falling apart, however, as they aren’t the most experienced pitchers nor are they among those with the most overall talent.
The odds are that Wells is the one who does it on Sunday for the likely MLB betting underdog Cubs, however.
Wells is on the road and he is not the most consistent guy. While Bush doesn’t have a ton of talent, he has been a bit more consistent for the Brewers.
The Brewers have a big edge in htiting as the likey MLB betting favorite according to the baseball odds going into Sunday’s game as well.
They have the 2 nd highest batting average going into the matchup with the Cubs and tons of sluggers like Prince Fielder who can change a game in a hurry.
The Brewers have been in a groove lately and that will continue at home on Sunday against the NL’s perennial lovable losers, the Chicago Cubs.
National League baseball betting pick: Milwaukee Brewers.
