MLB Betting – Who’s Hot MLB’s Hottest SU Teams
Teams are starting to jockey for position as we start the month of July in the MLB baseball betting season. Find out which teams are rounding into form as potential playoff teams with BetOnline Sportsbook’s list of teams that are on fire…
(Rank) (Team) (SU Record, $$$) (SU Record in L/5, $$$)
1: Arizona Diamondbacks (36-49, -$1,524) (5-0, +$595 in L/5) Does anyone outside of Arizona realize that the D’Backs have won five straight games? Perhaps the better question is whether or not anyone really cares or not. Those five ‘W’s were good enough to get the D’Backs back into fourth place in the NL West standings, and they trimmed their deficit behind the Dodgers to a mere 17.5 games with just a few games to go before the All-Star Break. Even the blindest of squirrels find nuts every now and again, and it seems like that’s what’s happening in the desert right now. Baseball bettors should be back to their regularly scheduled programming of the lousy Diamondbacks any day now.
2: Texas Rangers (47-36, +$1,311) (4-1, +$435 in L/5) The Rangers are sticking atop the AL West standings because they just seem to have Anaheim’s number. They’ve scored four victories in their L/5 games against the Halos, and as a result, are sitting a game in front of them heading into their final series with Seattle before the All-Star Break. Texas is the best money team in the American League, and it is knocking on the door of the Dodgers for the best spot in the bigs. Perhaps the biggest insult of them all to this team is that it has been an underdog in seven straight contests. Yes, there’s good reason for the Rangers to be dogs in Anaheim, but to be dogs in the L/4 home games against the Rays and Angels? Love ya, love your show baseball oddsmakers… Keep the value on the ‘Gers coming!!!
3: Philadelphia Phillies (44-38, -$28) (4-1, +$263 in L/5) Every baseball fan in Philadelphia should be sending the New York Mets a Christmas card this winter. In spite of the fact that the Phils are only playing .439 baseball in the City of Brotherly Love, they’re four games up in the loss column on the rest of the field in the NL East. Barring a miraculous turnaround by the Mets or the Braves, only the Fish stand between the Phillies and yet another divisional championship. After a bad few weeks of ball, the defending champs rolled off four straight victories, starting with a home series against the Mets and ending with a 22-run explosion against the Reds three days ago. That series with Cincy ends today, then the first half of the season wraps up with a three-game set against the Pirates. The real test will come in the first series after the break when the Phils are in Florida. A sweep in South Beach may put this division away for good.
And the rest…
4: New York Yankees (50-34, -$195) (4-1, +$261 in L/5)
5: Chicago White Sox (44-40, +$525) (3-2, +$130 in L/5)
