Here is a look at tonight’s key head-to-head trends.

  • Beavers are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 meetings.

Oregon State (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS, 2-0 O/U)

  • Beavers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
  • Beavers are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games as a road underdog.
  • Beavers are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games.
  • Beavers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games.

Oregon State bounced back from its season opening 30-21 loss to TCU to beat Louisville 35-28 but never came close to covering the football sportsbook odds as a whopping 20.5-point home favorite in the closer-than-expected win.

The Beavers got a solid performance from sophomore quarterback Ryan Katz as he completed 15 of 26 passes for 142 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while gifted junior running back Jacquizz Rodgers rushed 24 times for 132 yards with two touchdowns while sophomore back Markus Wheaton added another rushing touchdown in the win.

Boise State (2-0 SU, 2-0 ATS, 2-0 O/U)

  • Broncos are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games in September.
  • Broncos are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. Pac-10.
  • Broncos are 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 games overall.

Boise State absolutely crushed Wyoming 51-6 as junior quarterback Kellen Moore completed 20 of 30 passes for 370 yards with twp touchdowns and one interception.

Junior running back Doug Martin rushed 17 times for 105 yards with one TD while junior running back DJ Harper carried 11 times for 59 yards with one score.

Analysis: I really like the Boise State Broncos and hope they get the national title that they keep getting screwed out of because of the idiotic BCS voters, but I just don’t see them totally blowing out Oregon State in this game even though I’m not real high on what appears to be a mediocre Beavers team.

Other than Oregon State’s unimpressive 1-4 ATS mark in their last five non-conference games, the Beavers have posted some fine ATS stats that really lead me to believe they are going to cover the high sportsbook spread.

The Beavers have gone 4-0 ATS in their last four road games against a team with a winning home record and an even more outstanding 7-0 ATS in their last seven games as a road underdog.

I know Boise State has put up some fine ATS numbers of their own, but I’m banking on the Beavers to cash in against the college football sportsbook line and improve on their stellar 10-1 ATS mark in their last 11 road games.
