Sports Betting – Raiders at Cowboys Saturday

February 26, 2011

That’s right Sports Betting people. The Raiders are playing at the Cowboys, and I’m here to help you weed through all the hype surrounding this contest.

It’s still a decent game, but it’s just not the same as Oakland at Dallas.

This is a Big 12 NCAA Basketball game matching Texas Tech against Oklahoma State for the second time this year, and I believe this game is going to play out as it should. The Red Raiders don’t stand a chance of winning as far as I can tell.

Texas Tech Red Raiders (12-16 SU, 9-13 ATS) at Oklahoma St. Cowboys (16-11 SU, 11-11 ATS)

Gallagher-Iba Arena (13,611) – Stillwater, Oklahoma

Saturday, February 26 – 1:30 ET

This Big 12 matchup has plenty of statistics to help lock down your Sports Betting pick here.

The Red Raiders are dead last in the Big 12 and 145th in the nation allowing their opponents to score 76.0 points per game on average. They are also allowing a friendly 46.1 percent shooting percentage.

That is a game killer even if your team is scoring 73.3 points a game which isn’t bad at 47th in the country.

Oklahoma State is about as inconsistent as my ex-girlfriends’ mood swings, but every once in a while that hits right on point.

They started the season 11-1 and went a broken back 5-10 since then. That sounds like a team with multiple personalities to me.

They are on a 4 game losing streak which had three of those losses on the road. They are home for this game which actually does give them hope….especially against the Pink Raiders at home (Sports Betting hint).
Jeff Sagarin has both of these teams down the list Oklahoma State is middle of the road with a 71st ranking in Division I NCAA Basketball Rankings.

They have a fairly tough schedule at number 30 while having a respectable 1-3 record against Top 25 teams and 2-7 versus the opponents played in the Top 50 this year.

Texas Tech is a sad 136th in those rankings having the 49th hardest schedule. They haven’t beaten a Top 25 team in 4 attempts this year and only have 1 win against 8 losses when they’ve played a team in the Top 50.

You can bet one thing on this contest in the “Madison Square Garden of the Plains”. These two teams are going to be very giving on defense. Expect both offenses to score plenty in this contest, and take advantage of the basketball Sports Betting Line.

The Red Raiders have been allowing almost 80 points on average the last 6 games. The Cowboys are allowing over 74 points in the last 5 games. It sounds as if it’s the end of the season with hope flying out the window. It’s called laziness, and it usually makes for high scoring games.
