Sports Betting – Gamecocks are Sitting Ducks for Bulldogs

March 5, 2011

When I say a team is on a roll I usually mean they are killing it versus the Basketball Betting line. South Carolina is on a roll, but it’s a roll straight downward into oblivion. They are playing like they don’t care, because they really don’t.

Mississippi State, on the other side of roll, is finally putting it together too little, too late and too bad. They should wipe the floors with these pansys from South Carolina. I don’t ever see this one being close.

South Carolina Gamecocks (14-14) (10-12 ATS) at Mississippi St. Bulldogs (16-13) (10-12 ATS)

When: Saturday, March 5 at 2:00 ET

Where: Humphrey Coliseum “The Hump” (10,500) – Starkville, Mississippi

The Bulldogs are coming off of two great victories that covered the Sports Betting Pointspread also. The fact they beat Tennessee and Arkansas back-to-back elevates their status at the University but not much in the Sports Betting picks for tournament play.

South Carolina appears to be the right team to play at this point of need. The Gamecocks have lost 9 of their last 11 games including a loss to visiting Tennessee 73-69 March 3.

If there is something good to be taken from this last game (and they need anything good), it is their senior center Sam Muldrow’s performance. He had his 7th double double of the season with 5 blocked shots, 12 rebounds and his highest point total in college ball 24 points.

The Volunteers actually let the Gamecocks back in the game late, and gave Sports Betting players that had South Carolina a back-door cover of the Pointspread.

The Gamecocks coach Darrin Horn is still looking for his first victory against the Volunteers as the man behind the plan. I would expect that search to continue into next season.

The Carolina players are really the reason they’re in this funk. Freshman guard Bruce Ellington was playing lights out early in the season and has slumped to under 30% on his field goals this second half of the season.

I have an example of their lack of effort they’re exuding Sports Betting fans. This band of misfits could only put 1 of 19 attempts from 3-point range in the bucket while losing to Georgia 48-64 last week.

Mississippi State isn’t having much of a season compared to their last 2 years either. They won the SEC tournament 2 years ago and lost in the championship game last year.

This year is a huge disappointment as they can’t even sniff the NCAA Tournament for Bracket Madness. They might have a chance at NIT glory if there is such a thing.

This game should be a Bulldog domination, so you should take that to the bank Sports Betting players.
