Slumping Spurs – Golden State at San Antonio
March 24, 2009
The Golden State Warriors (25-45 SU, 32-34-3 ATS, 37-32 O/U) have alternated wins and losses in each of their last six games, losing to the New Orleans Hornets 99-89 as an 8.5-point road underdog on Sunday.
Veteran swingman Stephen Jackson led Golden State with 22 points and 10 rebounds while the combined score checked in UNDER the posted over/under total (216).
The San Antonio Spurs (45-24 SU, 34-33-2 ATS, 31-37-1 O/U) are coming off a heartbreaking 87-85 loss to the Houston Rockets as a 3-point home favorite on Sunday.
All-star power forward Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 23 points while veteran point guard Tony Parker added a double-double with 22 points and 12 assists as the combined score played Under the posted over/under total (177.5).

Analysis: Prior to their last meeting turning out to be a push, the Spurs had covered the spread in two straight against Golden State. Still, I don’t trust them very much these days and fully believe the high-scoring Warriors are going to cover the spread in this contest with their usual all-out offensive assault.
I also like the Over in a big way as it has played in three of the last four meetings and eight of 10 overall.
NBA Free Picks: Warriors +8½ Points/Over 207 Total Points
