The SEC has been full of surprises both positively and negatively this season. Check out how BetUS.com ranks the top teams in the southeast against the NCAA basketball betting lines with this week’s college basketball power rankings…

1: Mississippi Rebels (10-5 ATS, 15-4 SU) (LW: 3) The Rebs did what they had to do this week, as they took out both South Carolina and LSU. This string of four out of five on the road wraps up in Auburn before just their second home game since January 9th.

On Deck: Away @ Auburn, Home vs. Arkansas

2: Vanderbilt Commodores (10-6 ATS, 15-3 SU) (LW: 1) The ‘Dores dropped from the top spot in the college basketball power rankings after missing by the hook of beating the NCAA basketball betting line against Auburn. Still, nine straight wins has Vandy looking good for a spot in March Madness, even if things don’t go so well this week with two tough road games.

On Deck: Away @ Tennessee, Away @ Kentucky

3: Mississippi State Bulldogs (8-6 ATS, 15-4 SU) (LW: 2) The loss at Alabama narrowed the gap in the SEC West quite a bit. Three of the next four are away from Starkville in what amounts to be a very difficult four weeks of a schedule.

On Deck: Away @ Arkansas, Home vs. LSU

4: Georgia Bulldogs (9-7 ATS, 9-8 SU) (LW: 5) Georgia continues to move up the college basketball power rankings after upsetting Tennessee at home over the weekend. The Dawgs have covered five straight and eight out of nine heading into two roadies this week.

On Deck: Away @ Florida, Away @ South Carolina

5: Tennessee Volunteers (8-6-1 ATS, 15-3 SU) (LW: 4) Tennessee fell to third place in the SEC East with the bad loss to Georgia down in Athens on Saturday. Still, the boys on Rocky Top can right the ship with a pair of home divisional games this week.

On Deck: Home vs. Vanderbilt, Home vs. Florida

6: Kentucky Wildcats (9-8 ATS, 19-0 SU) (LW: 7) And then there was one. As predicted here, the Wildcats moved to 19-0 and became the nation’s only unbeaten team when they took out the Hogs in dominant fashion on Saturday. This is the week that things start to get tricky, though. Inevitably, UK is destined to lose at some point soon.

On Deck: Away @ South Carolina, Home vs. Vanderbilt

7: Florida Gators (7-7 ATS, 14-5 SU) (LW: 8) It was absolutely imperative for Florida to take those games against the Razorbacks and Gamecocks last week to move to 14-5. A home trip against Georgia can’t happen, especially with a weekend date with the Vols on tap in Rocky Top.

On Deck: Home vs. Georgia, Away @ Tennessee

8: Alabama Crimson Tide (8-8 ATS, 12-7 SU) (LW: 9) A three-game slide is history after the Tide rolled to a 62-57 win over Mississippi State in Tuscaloosa on Saturday. It’s possible to see Bama get back in the NCAA Tournament discussions over these next couple weeks, but there are still some atrocious games left down the stretch.

On Deck: Home vs. LSU, Away @ Auburn

And the rest…

9: Arkansas Razorbacks (5-7 ATS, 8-11 SU) (LW: 5)

10: South Carolina Gamecocks (7-9 ATS, 11-8 SU) (LW: 10)

11: Auburn Tigers (6-8 ATS, 10-10 SU) (LW: 11)

12: LSU Tigers (4-11 ATS, 9-10 SU) (LW: 12)
