The Wolf Pack are averaging 44.6 points a game on the strength of their fifth ranked offense. Nevada’s tandem of quarterback Colin Kaepernick and running back Vai Taua are the catalysts for the Wolf Pack’s high-powered offense.

Colin Kaepernick is a dual-threat quarterback. He’s completing 69.9% of his passes for 1048 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions. He’s has another 548 yards on the ground and an incredible nine rushing touchdowns.

His passing numbers have gradually dropped in each game but he’s still capable of beating teams with through the air.

Taua leads the team in rushing yards with 641 and he’s scored nine total touchdowns.

The defense hasn’t been spectacular but it does enough to allow the offense to take over the game.

The Wolf Pack boasts the WAC 2009 defensive player Dontay Moch. The defensive end Moch is one of the fastest players on the field and by this time next year, he’ll be showing his skills in the NFL.

The San Jose State Spartans only win this season was a 16-11 victory over Southern Utah. Last week they lost to UC – Davis, another Div II team.

Thank rank 100th or worse in every major offensive category, including dead last in scoring with 9.8 points a game and total yards with 248.6 a game.

Defensively they are giving up 31.2 points a game but against Div I opponents only, that total is 43.6 a game.

Their best performance came against #19 Wisconsin where the lost 27-14. The sports book spread in the game was 38½-points.

Will the Spartans step up once again against a nationally ranked opponent, it’s doubtful, especially against the combo of Taua and Kaepernick at home. The only thing that will prevent the Wolf Pack from scoring sixty points in this game will be if they start taking knees in the third quarter. Take the sportsbook spread of Nevada Wolf Pack -39½.

NCAAF Betting Pick: Nevada Wolf Pack -39½
