Analysis: The basketball betting trends don’t necessarily only favor the San Antonio Spurs. It’s true that San Antonio is 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 games as a favorite of ½ to 10 ½ points and that S.A. is 5 and 1 ATS in their last 6 games on the road, but New Jersey is 5 and 0 ATS in their last 5 versus the Western Conference.

The Nets are also 8 and 0 ATS in their last 8 games versus a team with a winning straight up record. Still, the mighty Spurs were upset by the Philadelphia 76’ers straight up two games ago, 71 to 77. It’s doubtful that the Spurs are going to lose again, making it 2 out of 3 losses, to a team like the Nets. San Antonio should roll over the overmatched Nets on Feb. 14th.

Los Angeles Lakers (38-17) at Charlotte Bobcats (23-31)

Analysis: Detroit hasn’t been very good against the online basketball spread lately. The Pistons have gone 1 and 3 ATS in their last 4 games. They’ve lost 2 games in a row straight up at home to Miami, 92 to 106, and to Portland, 100 to 105. But Atlanta hasn’t been very good against the spread recently either.

The Hawks have gone 2 and 4 ATS in their last 6 games overall. They’ve lost 2 straight games to Philadelphia, 83 to 117, and to Charlotte, 86 to 88. Both losses occurred at home. The Hawks are 0 and 4 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two. I’ve got to back the home team Pistons to cover the spread in this game.
