Prop of the Day – 76ers vs. Blazers Double Result

The BetOnline Sportsbook offers a variety of props on almost every NBA game. The Blazers vs. 76ers tilt tonight has a couple of attractive prop bets. Portland is a great home team (28-6 SU) and the 76ers are mediocre away from home (15-19 SU), which is why the Blazers are currently -8 at the BetOnline Sportsbook. However, the line that I really like for tonight is the double result prop. For the double result, you pick the winner of the first half and the second half. Here’s a rundown of the current double result odds.

Double Result Odds 76ers/76ers +525 Tie/76ers +2200 Trail Blazers/76ers +950 76ers/Trail Blazers +550 Tie/Trail Blazers +2000 Trail Blazers/Trail -280 Blazers

These are the trends that relate to this double result prop:

1st Half

Blazers’ scoring margin in the 1st half is only +0.3 over the season
Blazers are 5-5 in the 1st half in their L10
Blazers are 21-27 in the 1st half in their last 48 games
Blazers are 31-33 in the 1st half over the whole season

76ers won the 1st half in the teams’ only meeting this year
76ers’ scoring margin in the 1st half of the season is +0.6
76ers are 5-1-1 in the 1st half in their last seven games
76ers are 32-31-5 in the 1st half over the whole season

2nd Half

Portland’s scoring margin in the 2nd half is +3.8 over the season
Portland is 40-19-2 in the 2nd half in their last 61 games
Portland is 40-23-2 in the 2nd half over the entire season
Portland is 5-5 in the 2nd half in their L10

76ers won the 2nd half in the teams’ only meeting this year
76ers’ scoring margin in the 2nd half is -0.3 over the season
76ers are 3-8-1 in their last 12 2nd halves.
76ers are 33-32-3 in the 2nd half over the entire season.

Analysis: All the trends line up for a 1st Sixers win and a 2nd half rebound by the Blazers, and the +550 NBA odds are a great price. The Blazers are an average first half team and an excellent second half team. Recently, they have been downright bad in the first half. Philly is just above average in the first half and just below average in the second. Also, Philly has an unusually high number of ties, especially in the first half. Look for these trends to continue; expect the 76ers to be competitive and probably ahead by a couple points at halftime before the Blazers storm back for an easy win in the second half.

Top Pick: 76ers/Blazers +550
Long Shot Pick: Tie/Blazers +2000
