President Obama Makes His NCAA Bracket Picks
March 16, 2011
President Barack Obama has officially completed his 2011 NCAA Tournament bracket, and the President did not take any chances this season. Obama made all his choices following the main-stream basketball line of thought by choosing the four Number 1 seeds to advance to the Final Four in Houston.
For the third year in a row, the President has participated in perhaps one of the most popular betting seasons in the country by filling out a March Madness bracket. Obama sits at .500 in his college hoops picks success. In 2009, he correctly chose North Carolina to win it all, but was quite disappointed last season when his Kansas pick lost out in the early rounds.
But the President is faithful to Kansas, and picked the Jayhawks to win it all again, mainly due to the presence of the tough Morris brothers.
Therefore, the Prez’s picks include Ohio State facing Duke and Pittsburgh taking on Kansas in Final Four play. Obama’s choice for the National Championship game pits Ohio State against Kansas, with the Jayhawks taking home the trophy. Obama claims that Kansas has “firepower.”
