Betting Odds:

Washington: +11 ½

Orlando: -11 ½

Total: 202

The first half of Wednesday’s NBA Betting best takes us to Amway Arena, where one of the league’s best home teams takes on the NBA’s worst road visitor.

That road team is the Washington Wizards, a club with an abysmal 1-25 road record this season, after picking up their first victory away from the Verizon Center over the weekend. In that win, Nick Young was one of five Wizards who scored in double-figures, leading Washington to a 115-100 win in Cleveland. Rookie John Wall had 19 points and a team-high 14 assists.

Still, it’ll be a totally different ball-game Wednesday, as Washington heads to Amway Arena, to face an Orlando team which 20-8 at home this year.

On the court, any talk in Orlando centers around superstar Dwight Howard, who is putting together an MVP type season. On the year, Howard is averaging 22 points and close to 14 rebounds per game, once again making him the premiere center in the league. Guards Jameer Nelson and Jason Richardson add 25 points per game from the perimeter.

When it comes to Wednesday’s NBA Betting picks though, we’re still going to take Washington. The truth is, that we just don’t know how excited Orlando will be here. The Magic are a veteran ball-club, playing their last game before a much needed All-Star break. They’re also just 4-6 against the spread in the last 10. Are we to believe they’ll be eager to play Wednesday night?

We’re not sure, but 11 ½ points is too many for them to be getting. Take Washington and the points to start your NBA Betting evening.

NBA Betting Pick: Washington +11 ½

New Jersey Nets (17-39 SU, 26-30 ATS) at Boston Celtics (39-14 SU, 25-26-2 ATS)

Wednesday, February 16: 7:30 p.m., Live from TD Bank North Garden, Boston, MA

Betting Odds:

New Jersey: +10 ½

Boston: -10 ½

Total: 185

Next, we head up the East Coast, where one of the league’s best will once again take the court. Is there any reason not to make the Celtics your NBA Betting wager here?

We can’t think of one good reason, as Boston enters this one at 39-14, with the second best record in the Eastern Conference. They’re also a sparkling 24-5 straight up at home, including a victory over the Miami Heat Sunday. And in a bad twist for the rest of the league, Boston is only getting healthier with Kendrick Perkins returning to this lineup from injury. He’s coming off a season-high 15 point effort.

As for New Jersey, well there isn’t much to be said about the Nets that we don’t already know. They’re a group that’s playing harder and smarter than ever before, it just isn’t equating into many wins. New Jersey is just 3-7 in their last 10 games straight up, and a mere 4-24 on the road this year.

We started this post by saying that we saw no reason to bet against Boston, and after crunching the numbers, there still isn’t one.

Even heading into the All-Star break, the Celtics are the safest Basketball Betting pick to make Tuesday.

NBA Betting Pick: Boston -10 ½
