For Mike Anderson’s Missouri bunch, everything starts with tempo, tempo, tempo. The Tigers enter this one as one of college basketball’s fastest teams, and a virtual lock to go OVER in the Online Sportsbook Picks. They’ve done exactly that in three of their last four games.

The reason is because few teams can score points the way Missouri does. On the year, they rank No. 6 nationally in points per game, averaging 83.6 and have scored at least 84 in each of their last three games. Junior guard Marcus Denmon averages leads this team with 16.2 points per game, but is just one of many players that can fill up the basket.

Forwards Ricardo Ratliffe and Laurence Bowers each average in double-figures, while guards Phil and Matt Pressey fill it up on the perimeter. In all, Missouri has eight players averaging 6.8 points per game or more.

So where does that leave Texas Tech as one of the Online Sportsbook Picks? Honestly, we’re just not sure.

The Red Raiders enter this one as one of the Big XII’s worst teams, with just a 3-7 mark in league play. They have lost three straight, and are just 1-6 outside of Lubbock this season.

However, to Texas Tech’s credit, they are one of just a handful of teams nationally that might be able to go point for point with this Missouri club.

The Red Raiders rank No. 79 nationally in scoring, averaging 72.9 points per game, and even in their recent losses have been able to fill up the basket. Of their last eight games, six have gone over. Senior John Roberson averages team highs in points (13.4) and assists (4.1).

In the end, at home, Missouri seems like the play to win straight up. We’ve already mentioned Texas Tech’s road struggles, and to the Tigers credit they’re 15-0 at home.

But when it comes to your Online Sportsbook Picks, we’re going to sing a different tune. We believe that Texas Tech has enough athletes and scorers to keep this one close and cover the odds. Not only can they score points, but Missouri gives up plenty of their own, allowing 70.2 per game, which is just 243rd nationally.

When wagering on this game, take Missouri to win straight up. But when it comes to the Online Sportsbook Picks, take Texas Tech and the OVER. You won’t be disappointed.
