Kansas: -17
The rankings don’t lie, and Kansas truly is one of the elite teams in the country. Not only are they 25-2, but most importantly are playing their best basketball of the season right now. The Jayhawks are 6-1 in their last seven games straight up, and are also 6-1 against the spread in that stretch as well.
And while the one loss in that mix was a week ago at Kansas State, Kansas rebounded nicely with Saturday’s beat down of Colorado. It was a game that was essentially over from start to finish, as the Jayhawks jumped out to a 17 point halftime lead, and cruised from there.
Forward Markieff Morris led this club with 26 points and 15 rebounds, with guard Brady Morningstar pacing the backcourt with 16 points. All five Kansas starters scored in double-figures.
As for Oklahoma State, well Saturday wasn’t nearly as kind to them, as the Cowboys lost to Texas A&M by one point at home. Oklahoma State did get a very unexpected 22 points off the bench from Reger Dowell, as well as 12 from guard Keiton Page.
Unfortunately the game didn’t result in a victory, as it was the Cowboys third straight loss, and their sixth in eight games. It’s also important to note that Oklahoma State has been an awful Online Sportsbook bet lately, going 1-7 against the spread in their last eight.
So will Monday night be any different? Honestly, we just can’t see it. Which is why- as they’ve been much of the season- Kansas should be your Monday night pick.
At this point, saying Kansas is “good,” is really a bit of an insult. This is a team that is literal poetry in motion to watch on offense, as they rank No. 1 in the entire country in field goal percentage, shooting an unheard of 52 percent as a team. They’re also one of the elite passing teams in college basketball, ranking second in the country with 18.5 assists per game.
And going up against an Oklahoma State that is simply average defensively, the Jayhawks should cruise. Remember, the Cowboys rank just 146 nationally in points allowed per game, giving up an average of 66.8. How are they supposed to stop Kansas exactly?
Kansas is ranked as one of the top teams in the country, and other than that slip up last week, they’re playing like it.
Go ahead and wager on the Jayhawks Monday night, in an Online Sportsbook betting lock.
