Online Sports Betting – PAC-10 Tournament Opens Wednesday Night in Sunny Los Angeles

March 10, 2011

Online sports betting cappers know that the No. 15 Arizona Wildcats and the UCLA Bruins will find out who they will meet in the second round of this year’s PAC-10 tournament once action from this Wednesday’s opening round is complete. The top-seeded Wildcats will take on the winner of the Oregon State Beavers and Stanford Cardinal, while the runner-up UCLA will meet whichever team wins the clash between the Arizona State Sun Devils and the Oregon Ducks, setting up an exciting week of action at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Oregon State Beavers @ Stanford Cardinal
Wednesday, 9:00 PM ET

The Cardinal finished the season on somewhat of a high note with wins in two of their last three games, and are hoping that momentum can carry over to the opening round of the PAC-10 tournament. Stanford dropped the Oregon Ducks in a massive double-digit road win before cleaning house at home against the Seattle Redhawks, and despite falling at California there are some positive signs from the end of the year that they can build on. The Cardinal will open the tournament against an Oregon State team that finished the year with three straight losses, and had fallen in seven of their last eight games. Five of those losses came away from home however, and the Beavers are hoping that they can do better on a neutral site. Oregon State has a couple of notable wins over two of the top three teams in the country on their resume, including the top-seeded Wildcats, and will look to draw on those games as motivation. These teams split the season series with each team winning in their own arena.

Arizona State Sun Devils @ Oregon Ducks
Wednesday, 11:30 PM ET

These teams will be very familiar with one another having met twice this season, including less than a week ago in the desert. Arizona State won both meetings, including a 20-point home win in their last meeting, which really sets the tone for this game. In most cases, it is hard for any team to win three games over the same school in the same season, but given the way that the Sun Devils dominated the season series, it seems like a given they will advance. Rihards Kuksiks and Ty Abbott scored 22 points each and Arizona State scored 16 three-pointers in the latest win, putting on a clinic with their outside shooting. The Wildcats won just three games in the PAC-10 all year, but more than half of those victories came against the Ducks, including setting a season high for three-balls in the latest win. Arizona State finished that game on a 22-8 run and will hope they can pick up right from where they left off against an Oregon team that lost four straight games to close out the year.
