Online NBA Betting Action – Chicago at Charlotte
March 3, 2009
The Chicago Bulls (27-33 SU, 29-30-1 ATS, 34-25-1 O/U) snapped their modest two-game losing streak in the BetOnline Sportsbook the last time out, surprising the Houston Rockets 105-102 on Saturday to cover the spread as 1-point home favorites.
The Charlotte Bobcats (25-35 SU, 35-25 ATS, 26-32-2 O/U) come into tonight’s matchup riding a three-game SU and ATS winning streak after beating the L.A. Clippers 100-95 on Saturday to cover the spread as 1-point road favorites.
The Bulls absolutely blitzed the Rockets in the fourth quarter, outscoring their counterparts 34-14 in the final period while the game played Over the 1197-point O/U total.
Chicago got a team-high 22 points from rookie point guard Derrick Rose and 10 points and 15 rebounds from center Joakim Noah.
The Bobcats continued their push for a playoff spot by getting 28 points and nine rebounds from center Emeka Okafor and 21 points from veteran shooting guard Raja Bell as the teams played Over the 189-point O/U total.

Analysis: I love the transactions that the Charlotte Bobcats have pulled off this season to give Hall of Fame head coach Larry Brown the more veteran-laden team he wanted and fully believe the ‘playoff-desperate’ Bobcats will take down the Chicago Bulls and gifted rookie point guard Derrick Rose tonight as they pick up their fourth consecutive win and third straight against Chicago.
The Bulls have dropped three straight road contests while failing to cover the spread each time and the Bobcats should be able to make it four in a row for the Bulls by covering the small, 2-point spread.
I also like the teams to just crawl over tonight’s posted O/U total of 192 ½ Total Points as the combined averages for these teams, both offensively and defensively, narrowly surpass tonight’s Over/Under total.
NBA Free Picks: Charlotte -2 Points/Over 192½ Total Points
