Key stats for San Diego State — The Aztecs have performed well on defense this season, ranking fifth in the nation in tackles for loss. They are also seventh in pass efficiency defense, and are yielding just 50.5% completions on the part of the opposition. Aztecs’ quarterback Ryan Lindley has thrown for 2426 yards, though he has completed just 54% of his passes. His favorite target is Demarco Sampson, who has caught 43 passes for 851 yards.

Key stats for TCU — Online football betting followers know what the reputation is, and this team lives up to it. The Horned Frogs are ranked first in the nation in total defense, allowing less than 216 yards per game. They also rank #1 in scoring defense, giving up just 8.5 points a game, and are #1 in pass defense as well. TCU allows less than 50% completions and less than five yards an attempt. Andy Dalton has completed 67.5% of his passes and is forth in passing efficiency.

…And by the way, bet parlays of 16 through 20 teams for huge payouts at BetOnline Sportsbook. There’s nothing better than that in online football betting!

TCU has been on a remarkable defensive run of late. The Horned Frogs have given up a grand total of 23 points in the last six games, and the coup de grace was a 47-7 win over previously undefeated Utah, which managed just 199 yards in the contest. During this period they have allowed just 188 yards a game. There is literally no movement against this team. Now, it’s quite possible San Diego State can advance the ball a little more than the likes of Colorado State, Wyoming or UNLV, but the online football bettor knows the Frogs have stopped pretty good Air Force and Utah teams, and stopped them cold.

Not only is there some competition at the top to be one of the two unbeaten teams that gets into the BCS title game (Oregon and Auburn are the two front-runners right now), there is also a battle to see who can get a BCS bid from a non-BCS conference. The assumption is that both TCU and Boise State can be there (they played each other last season), but you never know. That means a TCU team that is going to be motivated for margins of victory, and online football bettors know that. San Diego State has made some games competitive when they shouldn’t have been, and you can count Wyoming and New Mexico among those squads, not to mention BYU, who they lost to at Provo. I’m not sure they can post numbers that were any better than some of their predecessors on TCU’s schedule. TCU was on a run of five straight unders until the Utah game; with the over-under posted at 53.5 here, we think this can go that way again. We will go under the total in the online football betting pick for Saturday.

JAY’S PLAY: UNDER 53.5 **
