Online College Basketball – K-State Looks For 4th Win in a Row vs. Mizzou
February 26, 2011
The Kansas State Wildcats will be looking for their 4th win in a row when they take on the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, February 26th as likely online college basketball home favorites.
Even though Mizzou is the team that’s ranked and K-State is not, the Wildcats have been playing as well as any team in the Big 12 lately. Odds makers are going to see that when they set the line and then they’re going to make K-State the chalk. Can the Wildcats make it 4 victories in a row?

Any hoops handicapper looking to score in the online college basketball book dreams of a game like this. It’s highly doubtful that odds makers create a betting line favoring K-State by more than 2 ½ to maybe 3 ½ points, but the trends clearly favor the K-State Wildcats.
Not only do the trends favor the Wildcats, but Kansas State has been playing as well as any team in the Big 12 lately.
The Wildcats not only upset Kansas 84 to 68 as +6 point home dogs on February 14th, but they took down Oklahoma 77 to 62 in their very next game and then they beat Nebraska 61 to 57 as 2 point road dogs. The victory over Nebraska was very impressive as the Cornhuskers had upset Texas in the game before their loss to K-State.
Missouri has won 4 games in a row as well but they haven’t faced a team like Rock Chalk. Instead, they’ve beaten up on squads like the Sooners, 84 to 61, Texas Tech, 92 to 84, Iowa State, 76 to 70 and Baylor, 77 to 59. The only road game in Mizzou’s last 4 was against Iowa State.
The Tigers take on a seriously good home team on Saturday in the Kansas State Wildcats. It’s going to be interesting to see whether or not the Tigers can continue to play well on the road against a tough, hot, K-State squad. My guess, is that the Tigers cannot. That’s why my online college basketball pick in this game is on the Kansas State Wildcats to cover the spread.
Kansas State’s best player, Jacob Pullen, has been phenomenal lately. Going back 3 games, Pullen has scored 38, 27 and 27 points. He’s turned into arguably the best player in the Big 12 and is a huge reason that I like K-State to win and cover the spread on Saturday.
The Wildcats’ D allows only 65.3 points per game while Missouri’s D allows over 70 points per game. The difference in these two teams defenses just adds to my belief that K-State covers the spread on Feb. 26th.
I’m going with K-State to cover the spread in this Big 12 matchup.
