The Portland Trailblazers and Dallas Mavericks meet on Wednesday night in a game between the old and the young in the NBA. The young are the Blazers who have one of the best nucleuses in the NBA. The Blazers haven’t improved to the point where they can challenge the Spurs and Lakers for the Western Conference Championship but they are getting there. Their straight-up record of 30 and 17 puts them in the thick of the playoff race. Their against the spread record of 24 and 22 against the spread makes them a so-so option for sports NBA betting fans. Their away record of 10 and 14 against the spread means that they can, most times, be competitive on the road.

The Dallas Mavericks are the old. Jason Kidd and Dirk Nowitzki have been in the league for a while. They have a decent straight-up record of 28 and 19. Their record against the spread is good at 22 and 25. Their home record against the spread of 6 and 10 means that they can fail at times.
