NFL Spread Pick:

Tennessee Titans +5

Pittsburgh Steelers -5

Total 37

Even with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger absent, the Steelers are proving that they can indeed win games with him on the sidelines.

Last week, against the Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh was a 3-point underdog, mainly because Roethlisberger and Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes were not on the roster.

However, they held a Falcons offense to only 9 points and halting Atlanta in their first overtime drive, allowing the Steelers offense to take the field and win the game.

This week, Pittsburgh is looking to continue their momentum against the Tennessee Titans.

Although quarterback Dennis Dixon threw an interception lat week, he wasn’t too bad, completing 18 out of 26 attempts (69.2%) for 236 passing yards.

He should have no problem finding holes in a Tennessee pass defense that ranked second-to-last in the NFL last season, allowing 31 aerial touchdowns and an average of 259 receiving yards per game.

Stealers running back Rashard Mendenhall started his 2010 NFL betting season in impressive fashion, catalyzing a Pittsburgh victory last week with a 50-yard touchdown run in overtime.

Mendenhall totaled 120 rushing yards and a touchdown last NFL spread Sunday and averaged 5.5 yards per carry. This Sunday, Mendenhall should have room to run against a Titans defense that gave up 136 rushing yards to Oakland a week ago.

Chris Johnson should also have some difficulties running against Pittsburgh’s defense that finally has Safety Troy Polamalu back to full health and looked extraordinary last NFL spread pick Sunday.

Marshall Mention: Pittsburgh won their only matchup against Tennessee last NFL spreads season 13-10 in overtime.

NFL Spread Pick: Bet on Pittsburgh (+5).
