NFL Sports Book – Giants had Bye Week to Prepare for Seahawk Stew

November 7, 2010

This week in NFL Sports Book numbers are going up on the Giants – Seahawks game. I believe they will keep going up even though it’s in Seattle’s back yard.

The Giants were on a roll before their bye Week, so we’ll see if they went into too deep a hibernation this Sunday.

NY Giants (5-2) at Seattle Seahawks (4-3) – Sunday, November 7 at 4:05 ET

Qwest Field (67,000) – Seattle, Washington

NFL Sports Book Line:

NY Giants (3-5 ATS) -7 (ML -330)

Seattle Seahawks (2-5 ATS) +7 (ML +270)
Over/Under Total – 41

The New York Giants are coming out of a bye week ready to eat some Seahawk stew. The Seahawks are at home where they thrive, but they have some QB issues. NFL Sports Book Lines will reflect this.

All those coffee shops in Seattle must be responsible for the wire-brains screaming at the Seahawks’ home games. This is the loudest stadium by reputation in the NFL, and it does come into play.

There have been 99 false starts by opponents here since 2005, the most in the NFL. The Giants may remember their 11 false start penalties in 2005, the year Seattle beat them in overtime on their way to the Super Bowl.

The Seahawks are in a world of hurt at quarterback. They just announced Thursday Matt Hasselback will not play, and Charlie Whitehurst will start his first NFL game. That’s a tall order against a feisty NY Giants’ defense.

The fact remains they are a different team at home. They are plus 8 in turnover margin which is the main reason they are 3-0 at home. The NFL Sports Book Line would probably be Giants -11 otherwise.

This Seahawks team isn’t very impressive statistically except for their rushing defense. They rank a fairly strong 10 th in the NFL allowing just over 100 yards rushing a game.

The Giants have become the most successful balanced team on both sides of the ball this year. The Chargers are still ranked higher in Total offense and Total defense.

The Giants are ranked 3 rd in offensive yards a game and 2 nd in defensive yards allowed. The Giants are on a roll with 4 wins in a row on the way to their 5-2 record. They aren’t done yet either.

The Giants will have the crowd noise taken out of the game with hand signals, and I expect Eli Manning to have a monster day. Receivers Hakeem Nicks will and Steve Smith will be unstoppable out there against this weak Seahawks defense.

Take the NFL Sports Book Line and Bet Giants -7 over Seahawks
