NFL Sports Betting – Division Leaders Chiefs and Rams Fight for Rights
December 19, 2010
These NFL Playoff implication games can be perplexing for NFL Sports Betting decisions. I’m here to cut through the fluff and deliver the dough from your Online Sportsbook.
Kansas City and St. Louis are two of the teams NOBODY picked to win their divisions and go onto playoff competition. THIS game will spring one team into the mix of madness and one back to the bunker.
Kansas City Chiefs (8-5) at St. Louis Rams (6-7) – Sunday, Dec. 19 at 1:00 ET
Edward Jones Dome (66,965) – St. Louis, Missouri
NFL Sports Betting Line:
Kansas City Chiefs (7-6 ATS) PK
St. Louis Rams (9-4 ATS) PK
Over/Under Total – 43 ½
The Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Rams are a couple division leaders in similar positions. They both finished last in their divisions last season and are both currently leading the division they’re in.
The Chiefs are hoping they get their leader Matt Cassel back after his replacement Brodie Croyle made his first start of the year last week. Croyle is now 0-10 as a starter in the NFL completing 7 of the 17 passes he threw last week for a tiny 40 yards.
Cassel had to undergo an emergency appendectomy on Dec. 8 and didn’t play in Kansas City’s 31-0 loss to the Chargers last week. Their 67 yards of total offense without Cassel was their fewest since 1963.

Cassel has only 1 interception while throwing for 19 touchdowns in his last eight starts, and without him the Chiefs are done for the year. I have an NFL Sports Betting pick here that can make your weekend.
KC leads the NFL in rushing with 165.4 yards a game average, but without a leader the defense can key on and shut down this rushing attack.
The Chiefs need to be on their game and aware of the consequences waiting with even one loss at this point. The Chargers just smacked the 49ers upside the head and dared the Chiefs to just lose one game.
San Diego has a couple lay-ups in the next two games against Cincinnati and Denver, so there is no room for error for the Chiefs or NFL Sports Betting decisions at this point.
The Rams are in a similar situation with the NFC West Division. They can dictate their own fate. If the Rams can win out against Kansas City, San Francisco and Seattle, they are IN the playoffs people.
That is one year after going 1-15, and this story would be incredible.
Sam Bradford has been top notch, top notch (have to say it twice) and has the chance to join an elite group of NFL rookies to surpass 3,000 yards passing in a season. He needs 116 yards to join Matt Ryan, Peyton Manning, Jim Kelly and Warren Moon.
The Rams defense has also seen great improvement this year on the way to an amazing turnaround. Most people making NFL Sports Betting picks don’t see this improvement. I DO!
They have only allowed 5 rushing touchdowns and rank 12th in the league against the run giving up an average of 105.7 yards a game.
Both of these teams teetering on Playoff glory are coming off bad losses and will be up for redemption. Only one team will prevail because Cassel will not be effective even if he plays.
NFL Sports Betting Pick – Bet St. Louis PK over Kansas City.
