NFL Predictions Week 9 – Underdogs to Rule in Week 9 – Full Schedule with Picks

The Football Betting season is at the half way point and there is no shortage of storylines for the NFL Predictions Week 9. Below is a breakdown of every game on the NFL schedule and predictions for their outcomes.

Chicago Bears (-3) vs. Buffalo Bills: Total – 40 ½ points

Is it just me, or does it seem like the Buffalo Bills are due for a win? The Bears, coming off a bye had two weeks to shore up their offensive line and to get on the same page as Offensive Coordinator Mike Martz. Will it result in a win? Me thinks not!

NFL Predictions Week 9: Buffalo Bills +3

San Diego Chargers (-3) vs. Houston Texans: Total – 50 ½ points

The Houston Texans have to be smarting after their Monday Night loss but this is a good team capable of giving the solid Chargers defense fits. San Diego has been miserable on the road so far this season and I think that their struggles will continue against an uber-motivated Texans team.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Minnesota Vikings (-9): Total: 41 points

This is a difficult game to bet on. The Cardinals are brutal on the road and the Vikings have mailed it in. With the Cards defense playing at a high level,  with the absence of Randy Moss, the injury to Percy Harvin, Brett Favre’s desire to get killed and the presence of Brad Childress, 9 points is way too rich.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons (-8): Total – 44 ½ points

The Bucs are tied for first place but their five wins have come against lesser opposition – their margin of victory has been 5 points. Atlanta is 12-2 S/U at home in their last 14 games including a 3-0 mark this season. Atlanta should win this game but I like the pesky Bucs to cover the rather large spread.

New York Jets (-4) vs. Detroit Lions:  Total – 41 points

This game has upset written all over it. The New York Jets had troubles with Clay Matthews last week and this week face Ndamukong Suh. The Detroit Lions are a better team than their record shows and with Matthew Stafford back at the helm, they are primed for the biggest upset in the young season so far.

Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens (-5): Total – 40 ½ points

Miami is certainly better than their 4-3 record and should at very least keep this game close. Baltimore’s defense has been badly exposed in recent games and the Miami Dolphins are that balanced type of team that gives the Ravens fits. I like the Dolphins to at least cover the spread in this game if not win Straight Up.

New Orleans vs. Carolina Panthers

The lines aren’t out yet but expect a huge Spread. I don’t care how large it is, the Saints will destroy the Panthers and cover whatever Spread is laid out.

New England Patriots (-4 ½) vs. Cleveland Browns: Total – 43 ½ points

The Browns have been playing up to their competition all season long but Tom Brady is a different type of challenge. The Patriots have even found themselves a running game along the way! This should be an easy win for the Pats – SHOULD!

New York Giants (-7) vs. Seattle Seahawks: Total – 41 points

The New York Giants are playing like the elite team that many expected they would be. Seattle is a below average team. Although the Hawks are incredible at home, they are simply overmatched on both sides of the ball in this game. Eli and the Giants are hot while the Seahawks are not.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders (-3): Total 40 ½ points

This is the slam dunk of the week. The Raiders simply are not in the same league as the Chiefs. Ya, I know – the Raiders have won two straight but is that enough to make them a three point favorite? Absolutely not!

Indianapolis Colts vs. Philadelphia Eagles (-3): Total 46 ½ points

Michael Vick will start against the Colts on Sunday against a Colts team that dominated Houston on Monday night. Defensively and offensively the Colts are in a different class. After seeing Manning navigate the Texans like a puppet master, I can’t go against him.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers (-8): Total – 45 ½ points

Dallas is simply an UGLY team right now! Offensively and defensively, this team has completely given up! You would be a fool to bet on the Boys against anybody right now, let alone the Green Bay Packers.

Pittsburgh Steelers (-4 ½) vs. Cincinnati Bengals: Total – 41 points

The Steelers should be favored by at least six points in this game – they are head and shoulders above the Bengals. The defense will terrorize Carson Palmer and the boys and Ben Roethlisberger will bounce back in a big way in front of a National Television audience.
