The Vikings (6-9 SU, 5-10 ATS, 7-8 O/U) jumped all over Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles in their surprising 24-14 win over the Birds on Tuesday night to ruin a lot of experts’ NFL prediction (including mine) by covering the point spread as a whopping 14-point road underdog.

Rookie quarterback Joe Webb tossed one touchdown pass in the win while Adrian Peterson added another.

Detroit 411

The Lions (5-10 SU, 11-4 ATS, 10-4-1 O/U), looked absolutely fantastic in beating the Miami Dolphins 34-27 in their Week 16 matchup to cash in as a 3.5-point road underdog and move to 4-0 against the NFL Prediction betting line over the last four games.

Analysis: If you don’t know by now BetOnline gridiron gamblers, I can’t tell you how impressed I am with the direction the Detroit Lions are headed in with their plethora of playmaking young stars.

The Lions have scored at least 20 points in four of their last five games and hung a 34-spot on a very solid Miami defense just last week. The Minnesota Vikings also looked very good on offense in scoring 24 points against the Eagles on Tuesday night.

Prediction: When I put it all together, my NFL prediction says the final score of this contest will play Over the 43-point O/U total.

The Over has gone 4-1 in Minnesota’s last five games against a team with a losing record and an even more consistent 12-5 in their last 17 games as a road underdog.

The Over has also gone a blistering 8-1 in Detroit’s last nine home games and 9-2-1 in their last dozen games overall.
