Quarterback troubles have plagued the Raiders for years and years, and that was all thought to be said and done with the trade for Jason Campbell from the Washington Redskins during the NFL Draft.
So much for that set of NFL predictions.

Campbell has been a total dud so far this year for the silver and black, and head coach Tom Cable has had enough. He is sitting Campbell down in favor of Bruce Gradkowski, who does have experience trying to run this offense from the past.

Though Gradkowski’s numbers weren’t anything to speak of last week when he came off the bench and led the team to the win over the St. Louis Rams, those of Darren McFadden are certainly notable. "Run DMC" has done just that, scooting for 240 yards on 48 carries in just two games, good enough for second in the NFL.

If you’ve been trying to make NFL predictions with the Cards this year, you have to be perplexed. Arizona has only three offensive TDs all season long, and it is turning the ball over left and right. Derek Anderson was supposed to be an improvement upon Matt Leinart, and all that we are seeing is a man that has completed just 54.2 percent of his throws for 458 yards with one TD and two picks. Leinart would almost certainly have done better than that against the Atlanta Falcons and St. Louis Rams, who had two of the worst secondaries in football last year.

The play of Tim Hightower has been impressive, as he has accounted for 218 total yards on 24 carries and six receptions, but he’ll be splitting time this week with Beanie Wells, who will be activated for the first time this season.

NFL Insider Tip: Those making NFL predictions on the Cardinals have only gone 5-11 ATS in their L/16 when they are favored by more than a field goal but less than double digits.
That’s telling us that this is a franchise that is having a hard time putting away games that it should be winning. This really classifies as one of those games, as teams that hope to make the playoffs can’t be struggling with squads like Oakland; especially at home.

The Raiders are 6-1 ATS in their L/7 following an ATS defeat, and I like them to win this one outright! My NFL predictions calling for an Oakland cover at the very least.

My NFL Predictions: Oakland Raiders (+4.5) -110
