NFL Predictions – Expect Tight Battle As Manning, Giants Host, Jones-Drew Streaking Jaguars
November 28, 2010
Maurice Jones-Drew and the Jacksonville Jaguars haven’t gotten nearly the amount of national media attention as Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning the New York Giants throughout the course of the 2010 NFL regular season, but my NFL betting predictions betting breakdown on Sunday’s Week 12 Interconference matchup between the two teams says that BetOnline pro football gamblers can almost assuredly expect a tight battle that may be decided in the game’s final minutes.

NFL Odds
New York Giants -7
Over/Under 44.5
Jacksonville 411
- Jaguars are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
- Jaguars are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog.
- Jaguars are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games.
The Jaguars (6-4 SU, 6-4 ATS, 8-2 O/U) have won three consecutive games including its 24-20 home win against the Browns in Week 11. Jacksonville covered the NFL predictions odds as a 2.5-point home favorite to move to 3-0 ATS over its last three games as Maurice Jones-Drew rushed 23 times for 133 yards while adding another 87 yards on three receptions to overcome a three-interception day by quarterback David Garrard.
New York 411
- Giants are 4-9 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
- Giants are 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a S.U. loss.
- Giants are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games.
The Giants (6-4 SU, 5-5 ATS, 6-4 O/U) lost their second straight game by falling to Philadelphia 27-17 in its Week 111 divisional showdown while failing to cover the NFL predictions betting line as a 3.5-point road dog as Eli Manning tossed three interceptions in the loss.
Prediction: I’m going to get right to the point with my NFL predictions selection for this contest by saying that I fully expect the Jacksonville Jaguars to find a way to cover the NFL point spread in this matchup against a Giants team that hasn’t surpassed the 20-point plateau in each of its last two games.
In four all-time meetings dating back to 1997, the Jaguars have never lost to New York by more than seven points, while winning two of the four matchups, including a 26-10 win back in 2006.
The Giants have gone just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games while the Jaguars bring a consistent 5-2 ATS mark in their last seven games into this contest.
I think New York manages to win this contest straight up (SU), by my NFL predictions pick says play the Jacksonville Jaguars to cover the spread as a one touchdown road dog!
In addition to playing the Jags to cover the spread, I also like the Over to play out for betting enthusiasts that like to play the Total as it has gone 4-1 in each team’s last five games respectively.
NFL Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars +7 Points/Over 44 Total Points
