The Tampa Bay (8-6 SU, 8-5-1 ATS, 6-7-1 O/U), Buccaneers are coming off a heartbreaking 23-20 loss to Detroit in Week 15 where they failed to cash in against the NFL predictions odds as a 3.5-point home favorite to fall to 0-2-1 ATS over its last three games.

Analysis: The Buccaneers and Seahawks both average just about 20 points per game this season, but Tampa bay is a much better defensive team and allows five fewer points per contest this season.

A quick look at the key head-to-head trends surrounding this matchup may lead NFL predictions seekers to believe the Seahawks are going to cash in against the spread in this one, but I say bettors can mostly toss those numbers out as Seattle compiled them against the Bucs when they were a completely different team than the one they are right now.

Seattle has been pretty bad against the spread, especially when they’re a road dog as they’ve gone just 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games as a road underdog while also going 0-4 ATS in their last four games as an underdog.

The Buccaneers are 4-1-1 ATS versus a team with a losing record and 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games overall and I fully believe they are going to win this contest and very narrowly cover the spread against the struggling Seahawks.

If you don’t know BetOnline NFL predictions seekers, veteran Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck was benched midway through the second half of Sunday’s Week 15 loss to Atlanta and has thrown at least two interceptions in a whopping four straight games.

Twelve of Hasselbeck’s turnovers have occurred when Seattle was trailing, with Hasselbeck forcing the ball downfield trying to produce a comeback.

The Buccaneers and Seahawks have both had fine seasons this year, but I’m expecting the Bucs to hold down the fort at home in my NFL predictions selection for this Week 16 matchup.
