NFL Power Rankings Week 8 – Pro Football Fractures and Fallouts
October 26, 2010
The NFL Power Rankings Week 8 results have the top five exactly as last week with 3 wins and 2 bye weeks between them.
The NY Giants became the top rated NFC team at Number 6 this week as the Saints somehow lost to Cleveland.
The Carolina Panthers scored their first victory of the year by taking down the most disappointing team of the year the San Francisco 49ers.

The last ranked Buffalo Bills are now the ONLY team without a win in the NFL betting this year.
No teams are undefeated, and there a miniscule 3 teams left with only one loss, the number 1 Jets, the number 2 Patriots and the number 3 Steelers.
Injuries are taking their toll on some teams now. Tony Romo got hurt and Brett Favre has a chance of ending his Ironman streak of consecutive games with a stress fracture in his ankle.
We’re almost halfway into the season now, and that’s where injuries, fatigue, frustration and apathy can kick in and destroy a team. Next week’s NFL Ranking List should reflect the beginning of these effects.
The NFL Power Rankings Week 8 list is based on Power. They don’t take Lions, Tigers or Bears as pets into consideration.
Each team’s NFL Power Rankings from last week and current won-lost record is in parentheses.
1) (1) New York Jets (5-1) – Rested and hosting Packers offensive machine this week
2) (2) New England Patriots (5-1) – Vikings are coming, but will Brett keep streak alive
3) (3) Pittsburgh Steelers (5-1) – Officials’ end zone call Saves Pitt’s Win
4) (4) Baltimore Ravens (5-2) – WHAT happened to Balt. D against Buffalo-close win
5) (5) Indianapolis Colts (4-2) – MNF vs. Texans for offensive fireworks, but Indy hurts
6) (7) New York Giants (5-2) – Top rated NFC team looks strong especially defense
7) (9) Atlanta Falcons (5-2) – BYE week and then watch out for this team – BIG things
(10) Houston Texans (3-3) – They better have worked on horrible defense on extra week
9) (12) Green Bay Packers (4-3) – still not looking strong but getting better
10) (6) New Orleans Saints (4-3) – This team is obviously back off the wagon..or on the wagon
11) (14) Tennessee Titans (5-2) – If you’re a Fantasty FB guy and didn’t play Kenny Britt-D’OHH
12) (13) Kansas City Chiefs (4-2) – Waxed Jacksonville a team playing QB,QB, who’s got a QB
13) (8) Philadelphia Eagles (4-3) – Snagged 3 interceptions from Collins but still lost to Titans
14) (11) Minnesota Vikings (2-4) – Favre almost again! He is beat up, but doubt misses game

16) (19) Washington Redskins (4-3) – Took out Bears with defense demo on Cutler
17) (15) Arizona Cardinals (3-3) – 5 turnovers and they weren’t apple – Cards look horrible
18) (17) Chicago Bears (4-3) – The Sack Attack continues – Cutler is getting hammered

20) (23)Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2) – 4 wins is impressive already for Bucs
21) (20) Dallas Cowboys (1-5) – NOW Romo is hurt too – could actually be a blessing
22) (21) Denver Broncos (2-5) – Defense gave up 59 points to RAIDERS LMAO!
23) (22) San Francisco 49ers (1-6) – NOW they lost to the second worst team in the NFL
24) (24) St. Louis Rams (3-4) – Lost in a 4th quarter comeback to Freeman and Bucs
25) (27) Oakland Raiders (3-4) – NEW record 59 Points and McFadden has 4 TDs

28) (26) Detroit Lions (1-5) – Redskins come to town in game they can win
29) (30) Cleveland Browns (2-5) – SHOCKER they kill the Saints, now what?
30) (28) Jacksonville Jaguars (3-4) – you can’t expect much from 3rd string QB
31) (31) Carolina Panthers (1-5) – They finally found a team they could beat – 49ers
32) (32) Buffalo Bills (0-6) – They are ONLY team with ZERO wins now
The NFL Power Rankings Week 8 list is showing the parity again. I can’t believe there are only 3 teams left with 1 loss left. I can believe the Bills are the only winless team left however.
