Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Jets, 8:20 pm ET Saturday:
The Colts are a bit hobbled heading into the playoffs at some spots but they got it done when it counted most.
Peyton Manning has them as an NFL picks wild card weekend favorite by 2 ½ points because of the way he was able to find a rapport with some of his backup receiving targets late in the year and because he has much more experience than his counterpart Mark Sanchez.
The Colts’ improved running game, averaging 133+ yards over the past four games, will also help lead them to a win in this one against the Jets, whose defense can’t generate enough of a pass rush to stop Manning.
Betting pick: Indianapolis.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers, 4:30 pm ET Sunday:
The Eagles are going into this NFL picks wild card weekend 3-point favorites against a Packers team that some people think is the NFC’s top sleeper and a Super Bowl contender.
But the Eagles have home field and Michael Vick is still the most dangerous man in the NFC online betting.
The favorite has covered in 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two teams and Philadelphia will continue that trend because of Vick’s brilliance.
Betting pick: Philadelphia
New Orleans at Seattle, 4:30 pm ET Saturday:
The Saints are a 10 1/2-point favorite going into this one and Drew Brees and company are not playing their best football.
The Seahawks lost by 15 in New Orleans earlier in the year, and the trip will tough for the NFL picks wild card weekend favorite Saints to make across the country to Seattle.
But Brees and co. are simply on another level talent-wise apart from the Seahawks, who snuck in while playing in perhaps the worst NFL division ever.
