November 19, 2010

Look at NFL picks week 11, there quite a big menu to choose from. Here’s a preview of four games where the bettor should have an edge.

Baltimore Ravens @ Carolina Panthers

Sunday November 21, 2010 – 1:00 PM ET

Do the Carolina Panthers have anything left in the tank? They are 1-8 and have a slew of injuries that is crippling their offense.

Quarterback Matt Moore is out for the season, backup Jimmy Clausen suffered a concussion last week and is questionable, running back Jonathan Stewart is also recovering from a concussion and is questionable, and backfield cohort DeAngelo Williams is now out for the season.

The Panthers have given up 65 points in their last two losses. Take the Ravens and lay the points here.

Washington Redskins @ Tennessee Titans

Sunday November 21, 2010 – 1:00 PM ET

The Washington Redskins were spanked at home on Monday Night Football, and now on a short week, they have to travel to Tennessee to face an AFC betting contender.

The Redskins only seem to win when they can dominate the turnover battle but the Tennessee Titans take good care of the football. Expect it to be another trying week for the Redskins as the Titans roll.

NFL Picks Week 11: Titans -7

Detroit Lions @ Dallas Cowboys

Sunday November 21, 2010 – 1:00 PM ET

The Detroit Lions are always a bet-against on the road since they haven’t won on the road in 25 games. On top of that, they are down to backup quarterback, Shaun Hill, and while they are still a scrappy bunch, they are going up against a team that has some momentum.

Jason Garrett got his Cowboys to believe as he coached the team to their second win of the season at the Meadowlands last week. And after dismantling the New York Giants, they are going to use a similar formula against the Lions to week to pick them apart.

NFL Picks Week 11: Cowboys -6.5

Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings

Sunday November 21, 2010 – 1:00 PM ET

The Green Bay Packers are well-rested after a bye week while the Minnesota Vikings could sure use another one. They have lost three of their last four games and pretty much need to win the rest of their games to make the playoffs. Realistically, they simply aren’t going to be competing for a Super Bowl this year.

When a veteran team knows that, there’s a good chance that they quit on their coach. Taking a look at the Vikings situations as is – trading Randy Moss, Brad Childress potentially losing the locker room, Brett Favre’s injuries and off-field issues – they could quit on the season at any point.

Meanwhile, the Packers are rested, relaxed and cool as a cucumber. The pressure is off them and they are the better team. Bet them to cover the small spread against Minnesota.
