NFL Picks for Week 13 – Washington at NY Giants
December 5, 2010
The NFC East is still one of the strongest divisions in the NFL, but the NFL picks matchup between Washington and the Giants features a couple of teams that have disappointed in recent weeks.
The Giants rallied to beat Jaguars last week but still haven’t been playing up to their potential while the Redskins blew a game at Minnesota against a struggling Vikings team.

Who has the edge heading into week 13 in New York?
Washington Redskins at NY Giants
1 pm ET Sunday
NFL Betting Line: Giants favored at -7.
We’ve all seen that Donovan McNabb can be a thorn in the side of the Giants at times. But McNabb isn’t the same player and he hasn’t been on the same page with most of his receiving targets so far this year.
Eli Manning has been similar as the QB of the NFL picks favorite Giants this year as what we’ve seen in the past.
He is mistake prone but once he gets in a groove he can be very hard to stop and a top-tier QB.
It also helps that the New York Giants have one of the best WR corps in the NFL and even when stars like Steve Smith and Hakeem Nicks are hurt and/or struggling, others like Mario Manningham and co. can pick up the slack.
Stopping the passing game is a big key for the Redskins this week and they did it well against Brett Favre and the Vikings last week.
But NY is a different animal and the team with perhaps the most potential in the NFC on offense.
The Giants are trying to beat Washington for the fifth straight time, their longest such streak against Washington since the mid-1990′s.
McNabb will be key in this one but he has 13 interceptions to 11 TD’s, an uncharacteristic state for him that shows how far the ‘Skins have to go. McNabb has never had those kinds of stats with the Eagles, a team he led to a winning record against the Giants during his career there.
The QB battle will be key but truth be told the Giants have the Washington Redskins beat in every area in this one.
Many people have thought that NY has been ready to break out and put together a complete game for some time now and it’s about time they did.
Go with the Giants in this one as they continue to tweak things and get ready for the playoffs.
NFL Picks Winner: NY Giants (-7).
