New York Giants (2-2 SU, 2-2 ATS, 2-2 O/U)
- Giants are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games overall.
- Giants are 2-8 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
- Giants are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog.
- Giants are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
The Giants have sandwiched two wins around their two losses this season and managed to rout the Chicago Bears 17-3 on Monday night o cash in against the NFL Picks odds as a 3.5-point home favorite while playing Under the set O/U total for the second consecutive game.
The G-Men got 129 yards and one score on 23 carries from running back Ahmad Bradshaw while Brandon Jacobs added 62 yards and another touchdown on just six carries.
Defensively, the Giants intercepted Jay Cutler and Todd Collins one time apiece while sending both quarterbacks to the sidelines with injuries.
Cutler suffered a concussion in the contest and was sacked a whopping nine times in the first half alone.

Houston Texans (3-1 SU, 3-1 ATS, 3-1 O/U)
- Texans are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games in October.
- Texans are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Houston managed to beat the lowly Oakland Raiders 31-24 in Week 4 to cover the NFL picks odds as a 3.5-point road favorite as Matt Schaub threw for two scores and blossoming running back Arian Foster carried 16 times for 131 yards and one score. Former Giants running back Derrick Ward added 80 yards on 12 carries with one touchdown.
Analysis: I know the Giants looked really good in laying the ‘smackdown’ on the unsuspecting Chicago Bears last week, but I am going to advise the BetOnline NFL betting community to play the Houston Texans to cover the NFL Picks betting odds in this contest as a modest 3-point home favorite by hurting New York where they’re most vulnerable – against the run.
While the Giants are ranked 22nd against the run, allowing an average of 139.8 yards per game, and 22nd in scoring defense (22.0 ppg), Houston is ranked first in the NFL in rushing (172.0 ypg) while also ranking second in scoring (27.0 ppg).
If New York plays the Texans too close for the run, then I can see Matt Schaub easily hooking up with wide receiver Andre Johnson, who will be well-rested after sitting out last week with an injury.
While the Texans are ranked dead last in the league against the pass and in scoring defense, they are also ranked second in run defense and I believe they will pick up the narrow home win and ATS payday in a hard-fought battle.
The Giants have posted a winless 0-4 ATS record in their last four road games against a team with a winning home record and I say they fall in this contest to a Houston Texans team that has the look of a legitimate playoff team.
