Starting in Kansas City, the Ravens look to continue their impressive run toward the Super Bowl. Baltimore finished with the best record of any non-division winner, at 12-4 this year.

And really, everything starts with the defense in Baltimore. The Ravens finished third in the NFL in scoring defense, allowing just 16.9 points per game, and their run defense was especially stout, allowing just 93 yards per contest.

That’s going to be an especially big deal going against the Chiefs, who finished with the No. 1 ranked rushing offense in the NFL this year. Back Jamaal Charles finished second to only Houston’s Arian Foster, with 1,467 yards on the ground.

Ultimately though, what the NFL Parlay Picks come down to is Baltimore’s offense, and really we’re not sure they can keep up. As good as Joe Flacco was this season, he was just average down the stretch, throwing for two touchdowns and two interceptions, in a pair of uninspiring wins over Cincinnati and Cleveland to close the season.

And while Ray Rice was a 1,000 yard rusher once again this year, he topped 80 yards in only two of the Ravens last five games.

Could Kansas City pull off the home upset? Go ahead and bet on it, in the NFL Parlay Picks.

Green Bay Packers (10-6 SU, 9-7 ATS) at Philadelphia Eagles (10-6 SU, 7-9 ATS)

Football Betting Odds:

Green Bay: +3

Philadelphia: -3

In the second half of the NFL Parlay Picks, we’ve got a matchup of two superstar quarterbacks who couldn’t be any more different, when Aaron Rodgers and Michael Vick lead their teams into battle.

For Vick, we all know what 2010 was about: Redemption, with some quality football mixed in. After spending last year as Donovan McNabb’s backup, Vick emerged as an MVP candidate this season, throwing for 3,018 yards and 21 touchdowns, while also rushing for close to 700 yards on the ground.

Rodgers on the other hand, can’t do much with his feet, but few are more effective through the air than he. The veteran was again one of the league’s best, throwing for 3,900 yards and 28 touchdowns, all despite missing some time with injuries.

So where does that leave us with the NFL Parlay Picks? With whoever has the better defense getting the edge. Which is why we like the Packers.

Just looking at Green Bay’s roster, it’s lined with Pro-Bowlers all over. Amongst them, are a handful of studs in the defensive backfield, including Charles Woodson at cornerback and Nick Collins at safety. Those two are a huge part of the NFL’s fifth ranked passing defense, which allowed just 194 yards through the air per game.

Look for that defense to slow down Vick, and Rodgers and the offense to do the rest.

When it comes to the NFL Parlay Picks, Green Bay is one team you need to wager on.
